Watch it again, and listen for the sound that makes them turn around. I mean, why are they running so frantically?

It could be the Big monster stomping around topside and causing the place to collapse, or it could be mini monsters. I'm betting mini monsters.

I don't know what cloverfield is. I watched that trailer in the original post, and it didn't interest me.

It looks cool as hell but I'm terribly frightened it's going to be a dull/mediocre movie.

Seeing as I am a firm beliver in, "It is better to post in an existing thred than start a new one", I will now post a poorly worded and severly misspelled cloverfield theory.

Now, we alredy now that the movie is about a giant monster attack, but there may be more to it. We've seen the bloated woman being restrained by the hazmat people, most likely exploding or, pehaps, mutatiting into something new... My theory is that this is all caused by a strange mutagen (probably alien), that is infesting new york and probably other citys as well. It's possible that the government knew about this before hand, probably even thought that they and it contained. BUt THEN- a single infected entity of gigantic proportions accends from the sea, bringing this plauge with it. Why the sea? On the released movie postes, we clearly see thet somthing has come from the ocean.

There most likly will be a large amoumt of mini monsters, ether mutated humans or othe see creatures (OMFG! ZOMBIE GOLDFISH ARE IN TEH SEWERZ!!1!). There is a peice of alleged concept art of the cloverfield monster, showing a gigantic whale, with several "whale lice" mesureing 6 feet tall. While I belive the picture is fake, it may be right about about the pressence of giant parasitic creatures, usualy harmlessly small, that may be leaving their hosts and begin roaming the steets, causing the "clicking sounds" audable in the trailer. The name could also be explained this way, saying the mutagen was first identifyed by Dr. Cloverfield.

Aside from the woman looking like shes going to explode in that one scene, I haven't seen alot of evidence that shows theres gonna be a bunch of smaller creatures accompanying a larger one.
