All I can say is "**** YES BOB DYLAN"

That is all.

**** YES RUSH - THE TREES!

One of their best!

BTW, what's up with White Wedding, that song is totally gay.

EDIT: haha Tenacious D - Master Exploder, that's so awesome, my favorite song from the movie.

It's about f'kin time Mastodon got included in one of these types of game. Nice to see a RATM track that isn't one of their more well known included, too. I love Testify. Testament will be pretty awesome to play, as will Everlong and for kicks and giggles, Girls Not Grey.

I won't be buying it though because I can't justify spending such amount of cash on a game I find to very boring when played alone. I'll wait til a mate buys it. :D

It's still mostly shit, but that's to be expected I guess. They are trying to sell the game, and people do tend to like shit music for some reason. I've concluded it's because they're stupid, but I digress.

Ahahahaaaa

Definitely better than the first game, and probably better than Guitar Hero 3's as well. It's still mostly shit, but that's to be expected I guess. They are trying to sell the game, and people do tend to like shit music for some reason. I've concluded it's because they're stupid, but I digress.

What kinda shit music do YOU listen to then?

I see a lot of good bands in there...

60s/70s/80s ftmfw

My only gripe is that I want to see some Doors in one of these games somewhere.

Did you just take a jab at Smashing Pumpkins? Are you ****ing serious? And yes, LINKIN ****ING PARK.

Anyway, Soundgarden's Spoonman is on there so that automatically makes the entire list awesome. THE BEST rock song ever made, no doubt in my mind. Modest Mouse's Float On is the cherry on top. No Nine Inch Nails, though... oh well, can't have everything. :p

****, theres Modest Mouse on there? I hadn't even noticed. Float On is a weak tune, though. Shoulda been something like Teeth Like God's Shoeshine or Truckers Atlas.

I don't listen to shit music.

Seriously, Nirvana? Social Distortion? AFI? Smashing Pumpkins? The Offspring? System of a Down? Lacuna Coil? Linkin Park? Linkin ****ing Park?

Mastodon and Judas Priest (at least that song, though Death's cover is better) are alright, I can tolerate Dream Theater, Metallica, Motorhead, Disturbed, etc. enough to get through their songs, and the classic rock stuff is fine, but all of this shitty punk, nu-metal, grunge and pop stuff is just too much. The ratio is better than in most music games lately, but it's still hardly stellar. The game is called Rock Band, so why is there Elvis Costello, Duran Duran, Devo, and Alanis in there? What do they have to do with rock, or even bands?

So what do you listen to again?

Anyway, I hoped they would use Jeremy instead of Alive for the Pearl Jam song. Booooo.

Yuck... Death Metal :( The Worst kind of music ;) Figure why you dont like the setlist

I think Rock band 2s setlist is awesome, Could use som Tool tho :p Maybe some more Wolfmother :)

Woah, what the hell

This is an awesome list of musics, here are some of my favourites on there

13. Bob Dylan ?Tangled Up in Blue? 1970?s
39. Megadeth ?Peace Sells? 1980?s
42. Modest Mouse ?Float On? 2000?s
44. Nirvana ?Drain You? 1990?s
45. Norman Greenbaum ?Spirit in the Sky? 1960?s
48. Pearl Jam ?Alive? 1990?s

52. Red Hot Chili Peppers ?Give it Away? 1990?s
59. Soundgarden ?Spoonman? 1990?s
64. System of a Down ?Chop Suey? 2000?s
65. Talking Heads ?Psycho Killer? 1970?s
75. The Who ?Pinball Wizard? 1960?s

I like how they tended not to go for the most obvious choices of songs for the most part, hell, fcking dinosaur jr is on there!!

I'm still waiting for Tool to show. I'll get to play Reflection on the drums someday... ;(

I'll not be getting this then if that's the best they can offer.

The only difference between black metal and death metal is that one has screechier vocals. Adn the only difference between punk and metal is that metal bands take their music seriously enough to be rediculous.

Right, I forgot to mention the frozen forests. But I'm ok with being wrong, I'll still listen to metal sometimes.

Shows what you know. The vast majority of music I listen to is not death metal. There's a few death bands I do listen to, but I listen to far more black metal, folk metal, Viking metal, etc. than death metal.

Vintersorg and Asmegin in Rock Band 3. Come on, dammit.

I'm on your side, get some Amon Amarth and sonata arctica on there to bitches!

o_O Viking Metal.. thats just, not my prefered music :) More of a rock guy myself and i cant wait till they release Rock band 2 in Denmark.. which will be in the year 2013

Sea listens to shit music, then calls most of the songs on there, which are AWESOME, shit?

Go figure.

Zomj, this setlist is AWESOME. It's the antidote to the piss the GH series has.

Instead of commenting on the songs you guys should be thinking "That means that these artists are allowing RB to use their music and may be included in their weekly DLC releases"

So if your favorite track from a mentioned band isn't in there, it will be

http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/photos/harmonix-at-e308/922913/

Also, looking at the pics in that link, they're selling plastic guitars, and gutted Fenders for controllers, along with a bass OR lead guitar. I personally will be spending that little bit of extra for a gutted Fender bass :)

holy shit, the drums look wicked.

And I dont care abouut DLC...I have a PS2 \=

I am SO getting that drumset. Holy shitting shit.

Pic of the drums

news-rb22.jpg

These are NOT the drums that come with the game. These are the 3rd party Ion drums.
The official drums still only have 4 pads, but have "expansion slots" for adding symbols.

There are some spiffy 3rd party drum kits out there.

I would love to have that Fender Bass :D Would look really good on my Wall-of-instruments :p

Cant wait for RB2

I am SO getting that drumset. Holy shitting shit.

Costs a bundle. I'll be tempted to buy the new stock kit if it's a marked improvement over the old one, but the instruments they put out with RB1 were rubbish. I can only hope these ones are decent, probably the quality we SHOULD have gotten with the initial ones.

lol that's retarded. Your probably better off buying a set of shitty drums, learning to play and actually be doing something useful/productive rather then getting good at a game..

^Says a guy who is on a gaming forum....

Hell, why are you playing any FPS's? Go join the army, do something productive.

lol, I own 2 guns (rifle, pistol) and go shooting alot.

I was only saying that to the drums because it looks like for the price of that you could buy like 4 new games..

I mean, if they were selling a gun peripheral for FPS's that cost alot of money, I'd say just buy a real gun.

Apparently you missed this bit:
- ION Drum Rocker, a real electronic drum kit that functions as a game controller, brings the Rock Band fantasy to life featuring a simple substitution that takes the drum kit from a controller to a real instrument.
