In fairness Van Kayne. I was discussing about the Missing Information Mod, and as far as i know it's ok to talk about. I'v seen other threads about here and the mods never said anything about. I'm sorry Mech Man i thought you were blaming the mod for your troubles, i misunderstood, my bad.

What's up with all the forum vigilantism? Let a mod deal with it. It's not like you peons accomplish anything with these stern warnings.
Quite frankly, the rule is bogus IMO. It's only enforced out of reverence for the Gabemeister. Nobody else really cares any more.

It's a very valid bit of advice, though not an established rule. It's kind of like saying, "Don't be an asshole". I mean, you can be an asshole. It's your choice. But hell, it's annoying.

You are correct to assume that beta discussion is still not allowed, we contacted Valve about this not long ago and it still stands. This thread was allowed to continue too long without moderation, our fault so there won't be infractions but please bare this in mind for any more threads. I will review [DOG]'s thread activity.

Also, please please use the 'report' button when there is an issue. Mech Man was correct here but without highlighting the issue and backseat moderating, this left him to ridicule. You make your own bed...
