func_breakable_surf

my func_breakable_surf isnt breaking correctly any ideas..? when it breaks the whole surface resizes the texture and where i break it it turns into many little sized textures in other words how do i keep the whole object texture the same size with only having the part i shoot at change and look broken
 
my suggestion is...which is a noob suggestion...dont mess with the settings...make your glass and go to tie entity and select your _surf...and leave it be...dont mess with it. It should "shatter" just fine with the defualt settings
 
The problem is you are not using a material that is designed to be used with the func_breakable_surf.
 
did you try to apply nodraw texture to all but one side?

al sides of the texture need nodraw EXCEPT ONE
 
i figured it out.. theres a special texture and yes all but one side should be nodraw
