Excuse me for getting off on religion but I just couldnt resist when a couple of you mentioned jesus coming "back". Jesus taught that the people of his generation would see the world come to a end:
Matthew 4.17: "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Mark 9.1: "Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God come with power."

as well as in: Matthew 10.7, 10.23, 16.28, 23.36; Mark 1.15, 13.30; Luke 9.27, 21.32.

HA how wrong was he?? Ok Ive said what I wanted to. :thumbs:

They had jetpacks back in the 60's and 70's, and one of them was reviewed in "popular mechanichs" they predicted that people would be flying around wearing jetpacks by the late eightees, and the tester said that he
"felt safer than in his family car" while wearing the jetpack.

I dunno about killer robots though

There are killer robots already. Several private companies manufacture guard robots with mounted weapons. The weapons usually fire tranquiliser darts, but could easily be modifed to fire something more deadly.

Not to mention the fact that the US army has several unmanned vehicles that possess, or will possess, the ability to identify enemies and eliminate them...
