Poor Gabe must be really stressed. They all must be. I felt sorry for them reading that email.
Kinda pointless but fun none the less......

I read you guys had a HeadCrab Pinyata last time for Half Life 1 to smash
open when you when gold.
Have you got one this time with HL2?

Yeah keep it up Gabe. Remember your health is more important than any game. even if Hl2 has to be delayed... *gasp*
 
I think it's a nice thread to encourage Gabe and Valve employee's. What is wrong with being nice for a change?

NO NO NO! Games before health come on guys. You call your selves Hard core?! j/k. Gabes the man. Take a nice hawaiian cruise when the game ships, and get as far away from computers as possible. Sink your head in the sand and relax. You deserve it. *if you ever read this*
 
Ya know guys, someone posted in another thread around here, he is right. Valve isn't the one whos in charge of releasing a game and making sure its on Store Shelves. It's publisher is. Vivendi in this case. And if Vivendi says mid-November, then its mid-November. Valve can say the game will be all done and polished on 9/30, but it wont be released until mid-november.
 
he should stop reading his MAIL I bet thats stressing him out, espically after the last day, (all those benchmarks, Nvidia sucking so hard) I bet he's being flammed by a ton of nvidia owners and probably alot of them are pretty rude and stupid.
 
haha i wouldn't feel too bad. remember that he's going to make lots and lots of money from this "stress"

half-life 2 is a game not made for money, but for pleasure.
everything valve just oozes of enthusiasm for what they do.

There are alot of easiar ways to make millions.......just look at EA and DICE.
 
I'm just glad Valve is making a game that are for gamers and we got years of enjoyment ahead of us. Isn't that exciting.

With all the delay rumours and steam release rumours who cares really. Even if there is a chance it will be delayed when we do eventually get it we will have many years of entertainment like HL1.

But man I want HL2 so bad

I wish there were a way he could deny you and other people like you, from ever getting hl2.
 
He probably fattened up because he knew they would be working long hours near the end of the development cycle for HL2.
He stored all of his energy in fat a couple of months ago so that he wouldn't have to waste time eating when he could be working on the game.

The lengths those guys go to for their fans...

yeaa gabe! taking a bullet for us little guys, lol really thou who cares about his weight, its HIS and no one elses to care about so get over it every one.
 
It's a joke... I couldn't care less about how physically fit Gabe Newell is... unless he dies and they don't make HL3.

If I only played games made by people that were in shape I would probably be playing actual sports.

A game developer than can run a 5-minute mile is like a supermodel that wins a Nobel prize... not very common.
 
Ever thought that his steep weight gain might be related to some illness?

Ok its not great infomation but its a thread.
If we only posted only one thread about everything in the Half Life world this place would be awful and very boring.

Im sure Gabe and the team has been working their asses off with HL2 , but when the going gets tough the tough gets going.
 
WHo cares if he's fat.. im not fat but one of my best freinds is fat... like 250 pounds... who cares? He's still a good guy, its just stupid weight

Yes, but all of that weight can't be healthy. And we need him around to continue creating Half-Life's for us.
 
Well he is the coordinator not the actual programmer and designer. So Valve would be ok if he were to quit... or something else ...=\ yet still it wouldnt be HL2 without em.
