Ok...I'm about 95% sure that galaxy quest is the greatest cinematic achievement of our lifetime. Feedback. haha

Posted in Lounge - shouldve been here. Galaxy Quest

Greatest cinematic achievement in the history of film? discuss?

No, that would be The Princess Bride.

It's pretty damn good though.

They hang the biggest lantern ever with their time travel bit at the end.
I thought it was okay, no cinematic achievement though.

It's entertaining.
Far from the best film ever though.

Next time, don't make another thread. Just wait for someone to move it. :)

I think Galaxy Quest might be the best example of how to make an all-out parody- none of this "Scary Movie" or "Epic Movie"-horseshit: It needs to work as a movie as well as a parody. Tropic Thunder is another recent example.

Also; "What you fail to realize is my ship is dragging mines!" is a pretty damn badass line.

I agree with everything this man has said.

Hurm, I thought it sounded stupid by the name alone, but if it's a parody, that probably indicates quality. I must see this movie!

Commmander! We neeeeed you. You are out last hOPe!

I love when they look on his ceiling for his shoes.

I couldn't agree more, a parody should never be a sketch show.

Its funny, the new Star-Trek movie reminds me more of galaxy quest than it does star-trek!

It is an awesome movie :)

I have to watch this again

Galaxy Quest is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen.

I ****ing love this movie.

Cool factoid: the place where they fight that big rock monster thing is called Goblin Valley, in Utah, and I've been there, and it's ****ing awesome.

I need to dig out my old VHS player so I can watch this movie.
