Anyone got Galacitc Civilization 2 by any chance?

I got it (with the expansion) earlier via the Devs Site and have made a grave mistake....it is luring me back to play even though i should be revising!

Really cool space 4X game, worth checking out.

Inspiration for buying was supplied by the Tom Francis' PC Gamer Blog detailing his adventures in the game, a truly great read which can be found here

p.s also got Starcraft (legally) at last, in a few weeks will challenge you all to a duel

GalCiv II: Dark Avatar is the best TBS game I have played. Sporeships FTW!

Oh hell yes. The entire universe is allied in some way in my main save, so declaring war to someone means you have to declare war against everyone in the galaxy. Greatest thing is I have one third of the United Planets votes, so as long as someone votes the same for me (Earth preferrably) I win.

I'm loving it.

This game just didn't do it for me. I dunno about it, it just seemed really non-immersive and a bit boring. And I loved Civ, so I dunno what it is about this game. I just find it very boring.
