I entirely understand what you mean... couldnt they have left that out of the frickin files? Its not important.. people didnt need this... They had to know someone would read it and post it on forums. I was at halflifefallout or some forum and accidnently came across one -_- Ionno if it was true or not, but if its anyones fault its Valves for letting the info get out in the first place. I still love the ol' guys though ^_^

Again: I like valve, don't blame them for me seeing those spoilers, I blame them for letting those spoilers be there.

Well I just want to say that I have been spoiled on many forums on different sites, including this one, and I mean serious spoilers.

Very important things in the game, things you don't want to know before playing. Of course I don't know all, but I know some key elements.

Storywise, I think this game is ruined for me, after 1.5 years waiting. It SUCKS, I feel really bad about it lol ..

THIS IS, INDIRECTLY, Because of Valve: They made another mistake, and let the script dialogue of hl2 leak in the cs:s files, impossible to understand if you ask me.

I forgave Valve the hl2 leak, i forgave them the delay, ( and the unofficial delays also), and I never critisized them one bit. But now I came to the point where I have to say: Because of valve (leak in cs:s files) ( and partly my own) actions, this game is ruined for me, storywise. I know to much, I think.

Plz don't say "oh no, another one of these threads": You don't know -and be happy about it- how this feels.

Do a better job on this leaking matter next time Valve, PLEASE.

Well, sympathy for others on this forum has fallen to an all time low, and frankly im disappointed. What happened?

Every single person on this forum knows how easy it is to give away huge amounts of the story in one small sentance.

The G-man is an ally.
Gordon is a dog.
Alyx is really Eli.
Eli is the Gman wearing a latex mask.

Of course I made those up, they make no sense. But I could easily have given away huge amounts of the plot in those short sentances. If any of you had read them, would it have been 'your fault' for looking at them?

Valve made a mistake putting the entire script in not-very-encrypted files. Fine, mistakes happen. The real villains are the people who spread these spoilers without warning, not the people who read them.

So, a collective 'lightening up' would be helpful. I have nothing but sympathy for anyone who's HL2 experiance is marred by the inconsideracy of others.

My Opinion on Spoilers:

20% Valve's fault.
80% The person who spoiled its fault.
0% The person who it was spoiled for's fault (unless of course they were looking for spoilers)

Exactly. I've had one-sentence spoilers hit me it the face repeatedly, and I know I'm not the only one.

See the point? If that were real, it would screw up the story. No-one wants to know what the combine are, but one sentecne from a jerk could give it away just as easily as my fake example.

I'm surprised at all the people lambasting Xenome for being angry at that. The fact is that Valve did mess up, and that mess up is inadvertantly spoiling aspects of the game for people who are trying their best to avoid spoilers.
