I'm getting a DS Lite when it comes out in Europe and I want to know the must have games to get for it, from DS games to GBA advance games.

So far I got:

DS

Metroid Prime: Hunters
Trauma Center: Under The Knife
Mario Kart DS
Mario And Luigi: Partners In Time
New Super Mario Brothers
Meteos ( Added)
Kirby's Canvas Curse/Power Paintbrush (Added)

GBA
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2
Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire
Mario & Luigi superstar saga (Added)
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (Added)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (Added)

Removed
Animal Crossing: Wild World (Added)(Removed)
Advance Wars: Dual Strike (not sure about this, got the GBA one and I suck at it) (Removed)
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Removed)
Super Mario 64 DS (Removed)

Any other games? And are any of the games on that list bad? I seem to fancy a Yu-Gi-Oh game. Not sure about a Final Fantasy game or a Kingdom Hearts game.

I will make sure to look at the reviews for these games before hand but I really want some real opinions on these games and advice.

:)

So far I got:

DS

Metroid Prime: Hunters Yes
Trauma Center: Under The Knife Yes
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Try and buy it cheap. It isn't really worth full price.
Mario Kart DS Yes, yes, yes!
Super Mario 64 DS Most certainly, unless you have the N64 one to hand because it is so similar. People only purchased it at launch because it was the best first party title.
Advance Wars: Dual Strike (not sure about this, got the GBA one and I suck at it) I sucked at the GBA ones, purcahsed this and sucked even worse so it didn't survive my DS long. Still good for MP on long journeys though.
Mario And Luigi: Partners In Time Yes. It'll probably be my next, next purchase after New SMB
New Super Mario Brothers Hell yes!
Animal Crossing: Wide World
Meteos or Tetris DS or BOTH! (Two most addictive puzzle games ever)
Wario Ware: Touched (Superb, but again not at full price. I completed it in an evening)

GBA

Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 This and Adv. 2 are the two best Advance Marios so Yes & Yes.
Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2
Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire Why not. Although Diamond and Pearl for DS will be out soon. XD
One of the Kirby games. From a self-professed Kirby fanatic. For that matter, you could get Kanvas Kurse for DS.
Metroid: Fusion & Metroid: Zero Mission
Zelda: ALttP (if you haven't played it before) & Minish Cap (although I haven't played that.

Views in red above.

Didn't know about the new Pokémon games coming out. Need to look that up.
I still have Zelda: ALttP for my snes never did finish it. Minish Cap I have played briefly and I'm not sure why but I didn't like it.
What about Brain training?

Edit: Should I really think about getting most of the Metroid games?
Edit2:Might still get Ruby and then transfer the pokemon to the new ones. Still have my blue pokemon but lost my red one. :(

We don't have BRain Training here yet but I can't think of anything worse. Wario Ware appeals to my simple mind. XD

If you do only want one Metroid game, I prefer the 2D of Fusion and Zero Mission to Prime: Hunters. But then of course, it's your decision. Just don't complain when you get stuck on Ridley on Fusion for about 5 ****ing hours because he can kill you about 3 swipes.

Golden Sun for GBA!

How did I forget that :O

I can't wait for the new one... if they are making it. They're the only RPGs I've ever liked. Apart from Pokemon..

Metroid is hard on gba cause you have to restart every time from the save room, it doesn't give you a continiue just before you enter the room of a boss. So that might be a frustating game on the gba. Still very nice on an Emu.

But why don't you download an emu and try games out yourself before buying.

Advance Wars gets the most play next to MegaMan Zero (2 but theres newer).

Get the Castlevania DS or double pack for GBA too.

I'm also a big fan of Pinball of the Dead. GBA pinball game with all the stuff from the arcade game, zombies wandering around the tables and getting squashed etc. Only problem is that there are only 3 tables (all very different) and it probably will be impossible to find.

GBA
===
Warioland 4 - Not the best game ever but it's really fun and I liked it.
Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced - If you were a fan of the original you must get this, great game, different aspects, but still a great game especially for a handheld.

I agree with Tactics Advance, definantly. So... addictive...
