Games people play ?

Battlefield and DC for over a year now.

BF1942 is really all I;ve been playing consistently lately. I just reinstalled Thief - maybe I'll actually beat it this time, but I doubt it. I was thinking about buying Alpha Centauri - my favorite strategy game.

Gothic 2 is more story driven than Morrowind but its not a game where you have to play the first to understand what is happening. Anything that needs explaning from the first is explained nice and clearly right from the beggining.

Its not as open ended as Morrowind but you still have a decent choice of guilds, and methods of doing quests.

You could play W3D online with a 56K it's turn based so lag isn't a problem

Until I get DSL its diablo II SP. now, it runs fine on bnet with 56k, but people have been pissing me off so much. No one seems to want to have fun anymore, its all about rushing and powerleveling. So I said screw it, I play in passworded games anyway, might as well go to SP. So, thats that. Anyone else remember a time when people used to be less crappy?

Once I get DSL, prolly Specialists, Counter-Strike, DoD, and possibly FFXI if I manage to get it. I'd play homeworld 2, but I suck at it so much =[ I can't even beat the third mission in SP. I'm not great at RTS, I usually kind of take it too slow. The best players seem to be these crazy crackfiends who only find enjoyment in winning, rather than playing.

enough ranting for me, anyway. Also considering ut2k3, but I'll see about that.

I'm basically the same way. I like just playing RTS's for fun. Take WC3 for example. The average game is like 5-10 minutes. A long game would be 20 min. If you look at how the best players play, they are doing everything lightning speed. It's not so much about strategy...but speed.
