Games that you loved, and everyone didn't.

Pilot Wings 64 was a great game :) It was popular with those who played it, just not many people did. Here's to a version on the Wii.

I didn't ever get round to playing NYC. Heard it was worse, but...might not hurt to give it a try.

Monster Truck Madness 64: http://www.gamespot.com/n64/driving/monstertruckmadness64/index.html

My brother and I used to rent this all the time (we probably would have bought it if we could find it on sale somewhere). The battle modes were very fun. Playing indoor soccer with a ball the size of a garage with Monster Trucks is surprisingly addicitve. Playing hockey on ice is even better. There's just something about this game that was so fun and rewarding. It was critically lambasted everywhere and is definately a hidden gem for me.

Rush 2 - Extreme Racing (N64): http://www.gamespot.com/n64/driving/rush2extremeracing/index.html?q=rush 2

I've read and heard that the original was better, but I disagree. The courses in Rush 2 are a lot more fun, with a lot of secrets and shortcuts (driving in the subway for instance). The controls are very responsive, and the speeds reached in this game will satisfy any arcade racer. The stunt course is also one of the most enjoyable things I've ever done in a driving game. Trying to do as many flips, rolls, and tumbles is insanely addictive. There's even a secret stunt course within the stunt course, on the top of the wall that you can get to if you're really good. I definately regret not buying this one. :(

Aw crap! Now I really want to play these games again. :D

I now love Battlefield 2 anyone on here hate it?

I've got this. I used to play it all the time.

and didn't everyone hate tribes 2? well, i loved it.

Oh yeah, and I loved Quest 64.

But I cant remember if that was a game everyone liked or everyone hated... I know my brother hated it.

Final Fantasy IX - Too many fanboys simply tout FFVII as being great, but IX had so many classic elements that just made it enjoyable. Besides, I liked the return to a fantasy atmosphere, and the level and character designs were superb. This was the only Final Fantasy I actually cared enough about to beat, and I really enjoyed it the whole way. Even leveling was fun, which is something I normally hate. Oh, and the FMVs were pants-jizzingly good.

I still think Tactics is the best Final Fantasy. And I haven't even played it in over 6 years.

FFIX is probably the most purely enjoyable game in the series. It doesn't have some dark fancy storyline that makes you think, but I still think it ranks up the best of the series. I loved that game.

WoW - Apparently here no one likes it >_>

I agree one hundred percent. Final Fantasy IX is the only one I bothered to complete, and the only one (I've played 7, 8, and 9, in different capacities) that I really loved.

God hates WoW. Seriously.

OT: Siacker, your signature's from the end of Trainspotting, right?

Other people like Tribes: Vengeance.
*faints under pressure of a new salvation*

Yeah man, I was watching some clips of it on Youtube and I realized that's one of my favorite movie quotes ever.

FFT was such a fun game that I could never complete because it was so damn hard. Damn you, Execution Site! (or whatever that abortion of a level was).

Yeah, I don't think I ever managed to beat it. I gotta find a cheap copy again.

My friend has my copy, but I think it has DREs :(. I want to give it another shot too, I'm guessing if I could try a new party or at least level up more, I could actually beat it. I still have my file on my PS1 memory card...

Full Spectrum Warrior and the sequel Ten Hammers. As far as I know there hasn't been a game like it, yet if there were I'd say that these games would set the standard for squad based RTS games.

Unfortunately they seem to get no love despite the solid single player aspect and Ten Hammers having cracking multiplayer.

Diablo 2, Crimsonland and the Harry Potter series. I say those last two, because.. nobody ever mentions them, so I guess that means nobody likes them.

I only really like the first two harry potter games, though.

I also liked blue shift. Some.

And dungeon siege 2. And Heroes of might and magic five, the demo, but I only say that because the only other opinnion of it I've heard was bad.

Blue Shift was fun. I hated Opposing Force, though.

Alotta people liked Eternal Darkness.

Really? I was under the impression that most people hated it being that it didn't sell that well.

prince of persia: warrior within.

I never understood some of the hate towards this game. The gameplay was even better than Sands of Time. That new combat system was a welcome edition.

Although I didn't like how they tried to force you to fight more, as the game should really focus more on the platforming.

I liked the original black and white alot, mainly because I hadn't heard any of the hype.

I also like "star trek: armada" for some reason.

AH, another one.

Star Wars: Episode 1

Oh, man... I think I used to like that game, until I was playing it one day, and then somethign clicked... and I didn't like it or anythign else ever again D:

Doom 3. A lot of people didn't like it because it was "too dark" or "too linear". I thought it was fantastic.

Brothers In Arms for the PC. I thought it was fun. It didn't have the greatest graphics but it did it's job.

Those are the only two I can think of at the moment.

It was fun to shoot the crap out of all the crazy monsters... but they could of done more with the game.

Really? I was under the impression that most people hated it being that it didn't sell that well.
Critically, it was praised, and sales weren't too strong mostly because it didn't get much ad space, and because it was a GC game.

I like Guild Wars as a game that I can get with my friends and play for fun (with random people, it's pretty crap). However, my friends hate it. So it kind of works against me.

I love Guild Wars. All my friends care about are getting that leet 1 hit kill weapon and reaching lvl500 so they can pwnt the nooblets.

They can't handle a game that takes skill :(

Starwars Galaxies BEFORE THE MAJOR UPDATES
Deus Ex Invisible War

also, GroundControl. I didn't think it sold well. And, just about any obscure dreamcast game I can get my hands on. (why dreamcast, why did you have to die?!:frown: )

So yeah. i said this in the other thread... but I really loved R6: Ravensheild.

Blue Shift was fun. I hated Opposing Force, though.

I'd have to go the opposite way. I liked Opposing Force except for a couple of parts near the end, with those giant aliens in the tunnel that shot out that purple electricity stuff (I don't know what they call it :p), and the last fight against the thing that sat in the room while you shot it in the eyes. But I found fighting with the marines more fun than fighting alongside security guards. For Blue Shift, I honestly can't remember anything about it (apart from the elevator part at the beginning), and I played it within the last 6 months.

From what I played of Opposing Force, it was just one big jump puzzle. The opening scene was cool as hell though.

Total Annihilation.

only reason i mention it is because although everyone who's played it seems to love it, not that many have actually seemed to play it. Its always starcraft, warcraft, C&C, or some other crap. You mention TA and all you get is them staring at you with a dumb look on their face.

TA

is

the

best

rts

ever

made

ever.

until supcom comes out, then it becomes only second best.
