So here's the deal, I was playing MSF2k4 earlier, and looked at the pretty scenery, and I thought "Wouldn't it be awsome to be able to just spectate around in this scenery", so I went on a search to find some form of mod or maybe a console+console command to do this but haven't been succesfull...
So anyway, I was wondering, can anyone recommend me a fairly pretty game where I can 'fly' around and/or just watch the time go by with a day-night cycle etc...

I know it's a really really weird request but I'm bored to hell!

Thanks for any helpful answers.:)

Any non-GTA games because I've played both of those... Thanks anyway though, and I said, preferably one where there's either a mod or 'cheat' that allows me to fly around freely with a camera.:)
I guess in the end the best'd be if I could find such a thing for MSF2k4 but still haven't been able to :( Cursed be Microsoft for not including it!!

there is a console command called noclip - which lets u move around freely anywhere in the game. Not sure if it applies to your game tho.

Yeah I know of noclip but I haven't even been able to find a way to open up a form of console in FSX :(

The game is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 A Century of Flight.
And yes I've seen those techdemos, got a 9800Pro frmo ATI though =( My next card will probably be a GeForce though and then I'll deff. get those, thanks for reminding me mate :)

I found a mod, it costs but it gets the job done so I might buy it later, thanks for all the tips and help guys, last time I posted this on another forum(Which I won't name) I got flamed to hell for some odd reason.:)

World of Warcraft on a PvE server. The exploring of the huge game world was the main attraction for me when I started playing.

my favorite look-around games are shadow of the colossus, the three Jak n Daxter games (have real-time day/night) and the getaway.

Hard Truck 2. It had a progressive day and night cycle...with changing weather...plus you could just drive around this big area. Then if you didn't have a load, you could go to this one place and get shot at by a helicopter while enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery...Man, I love that game.

I think there are some amazing vews in our very own Half Life 2, for example, the bit with the red barn and the water etc is nice, as are some of the coastal views.

Yes, but that's not a "finished world". It's very linear. Also, HL2 doesn't have a day-night cycle.

Is there a way to remove the text on the start screens? Because those are pretty nifty.

I know its been mentioned... but Oblivion by far. My god is the natural scenery beautifully realistic. If only you could sit down in the game had have external forces blowing a breeze onto your face, with the warmth of the sun. Because its so peaceful sitting and watching the flowers and trees and bushes sway in the wind.

Of course, you could do that in real life, but then you gotta worry about bugs crawling all over you, and hungry wolves coming to take you away.

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. It's just fun to watch as day falls to night.

If you use the map command, like if you're goign to a level, something like... map background_01 or something. Do "maps *" and it'll give you a list.

I know it's an average game...but Black and White 2. Very pretty if your pc can run it, and sometimes the people's lives are fun to watch (try to keep an eye on one for a while, then bam! Throw him in the sea).

Have you seen Oblivion in fast-motion?

Oh yea, B&W2, you can even change the time of day.
