And wait, there's gonna be a Thief 4? I might get that, I loved the first game, and the 3rd was very enjoyable. I'm still trying to get my hands on the 2nd, it's damn near impossible to find a copy now.
 
All the games look decent and all, but I don't see anything listed that I must have, or even ... want bad enough to buy. And that's really disappointing. The games just aren't quite what I'm looking for.

I'll probably just pick up some older games on a budget, and pick up Red Dead Redemption, Lost Planet 2, and Super Street Fighter IV next year. (surely a PC version should be available by then)

This should be a very good year for gaming. Mass Effect 2 and Bad Company 2 are great way to start the year off.

I will definitely be getting the PC version of GTA 4's DLC. I Am anxious about Aliens vs. Predator but i will wait for a few reviews and see how the community responds to it first. So far, we have only seen console footage of the game.
I Am worried that we may get a sloppy port. PC demo is coming out this week. So, we'll see.
I was looking forward to Splinter Cell Conviction and Assassins Creed 2 but the news of the new DRM has turned me off. Just Cause 2 looks like a lot of fun. From what i have seen , they have made significant improvements to the gameplay. Metro 2033 looks interesting. I just hope that it's less depressing and more streamlined than S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Every time i played that game, it reminded me of every rainy day of Autumn that i have dreaded. Plenty of other games to look forward but they have yet set a release date for them.
 
Get AC2, regardless of the DRM news. Its a truly awesome game.

Hold on a second - I didn't even see the new Tron: Evolution game on there, and this is the first I've heard of it. What's up with this game? Note: if your answer is going to be the standard "it sucks" without a legit reason, skip it. For example, see similar posts about Bioshock 2.

...and come to think of it, isn't it a little ballsy of Wikipedia to put EP3 on a list of releast dates without a direct endorsement of this date from Valve?

edit - that game looks to have some promise, given the skimpy preview trailer. Maybe the multiplayer light cycles won't be teh sketch this time.

Hell knows. I tend to game at a sixth month offset to everyone else, sometimes more. I'll spend this year playing last year's big names.

edit: though I suspect I'll find a way to play (i.e. Housemates' machines) Epic Mickey, Final Fantasy XIII and "Sonic 4" or whatever they end up calling it.

kinda depressing that I can only think of Alpha protocol out of all the games that are coming out in 2010 ..and even then I'll wait for reviews

really there's nothing that overly excites me. this console gneration has watered down the differences between the platforms to the point that there's less and less games that are unique (in terms of gameplay) to specific platforms
