Gaming Newsletter - What Are You Looking For?

Guys I need your help for a moment. If you were to get a weekly gaming newsletter in your email, and please don't make comments such as "I don't like newsletters, I don't want to get them" this is not about that.

What would you like to see in that newsletter? And this is general gaming. Somethings that I got are: Top 10 News of the Week, Screenshots, Movie Trailers. But what else would you like to see in it?

Also, what day of the week, would you prefer to receive the newsletter?

I think that's exactly what he wasn't looking for. Glad you could contribute. :dozey:

As for myself, maybe you could have top ten news posts, but for each platform? Or maybe narrow that to the top five? That way your readers can jump to the section their most interested in.

I think game trailers would be pretty popular, I enjoy those much more than articles, but are harder to come by. I wouldn't mind seeing some more detailed previews if possible. What titles are generating the most hype, what sleeper titles are out there, etc.

I also find user ratings more appropriate, with excpetion to the occasional "It roxors my boxors" and "It's gay, don't play it." comments. They're usually brutally honest and give a perspective from the average gamer, i.e. myself.

As for the day of the week, I'd say either Friday or Monday. Friday would be nice to start the weekend with some news on games, trailers to look at over the weekend, reviews to look at, etc. Monday might be interesting as well. Give people something to do at work. Perhaps take a collective of the previous week/weekend and wrap it up into a nice package.
