Gas Prices

You in western europe have to travel such short distances.

You don't need gas, ride a bike! :cheese:

Some people here in the states, to get to work have to travel distances that you could go from one country to another, in europe.

Okay... so maybe not, but i'm talking like 120 miles each way. Someone I know.

I think they should move closer.

Public transportation here in Pittsburgh is great, and as a student it is free for me. Hooray. Although I still end up paying a lot to fill the car for my girlfriend.

Biodiesel is the answer!
I know a guy who runs his van on vegtable oil from Lidle.

OMFG WIN! seriously you should appreciate that, a monthly ticket here for students on bus and rail is 75 euros :x

a barrel of oil now costs twice as much as it did before the invasion of iraq ..thanks america

Petrol (gas) prices here are the highest they have been in a long while, luckilly I drive an old car that does about 60 to the gallon :D
Rescently around my area some of the private petrol stations have been shut down after being found to be diluting the fuel with water!!

Petrol is hitting through the roof, yeah... it's $1.39 p/L around this area. It was about, i don't know, $1.10 p/L last year. 2002, it was about $1.00. 2000, 80c. 1999, 50c.

Free? Holy shit thats good, wish they did that here. Public Transport here hasn't got any better and the prices are just rising. When I started to take the bus 4 years ago, it cost me 45p, now it cost me 70p. Pffffffffft.

I love living in a state that pays me to stay here with dividends dependant on the price of oil.

Yes... let the price of oil increase. My gas is essentially free.

I don't own a car, this makes me richer than you all.

And you look soooo cool riding around with your mom and dad to places. :|

Yes I do. I look even cooler when my lady friend is driving, too. Actually I won a cool award.
