Am I the only one who has no problem with FilePlanet? Most of the subscriber only crap sucks, and waiting in line is no big deal for me.. plus, once I get a connection, I get ~300kb/sec

If you think that paying to download something when you can spend some time to find it for free is stupid then that is your opinion. However, calling a company gay simply because they charge you money to use their services (which cost 100s of thousands of dollars to maintain) then you look like an idiot, no offence.

Ever heard of game magazines that has their own file servers for magazine subscribers, now THAT's good way to pay for downloading.

Yep the demo's are free... BUT when you slap your credits down for a subscription with Fileplanet, you are paying for those free demo's to be in one easy to find site, they do all of the demo hunting for you, and you have good solid servers and bandwidth to download them from. They are even nice enough to allow the extra bandwidth that paying customers don't use, to be sucked up by the people who don't subscribe.

IMHO- Anyone who thinks Fileplanet should do all of this free of charge, need to wake up and examine their thinking. Life isn't and shouldn't be a free ride.
