is there any games ppl suggest for gamecube? except for Resident Evil 4 lol *which i might get*

SSBM
LoZ:WW (Not as good as OoT, but still fun)
Metroid Prime 1 or 2
The Other RE's (0 and the remake)
Mario Kart: DD
Viewtiful Joe 1, 2

There's a few others who's names i cant think of now

Tales of Symphonia, Smash Brothers, Metroid Prime (both), Timesplitters 2, Soul Calibur 2, Phantasy Star Online ep 1 and 2+, Paper Mario, Viewtiful Joe to name but a few.
And if you like weird games, Wario Ware.

Super Monkey Ball is a must (no. 1 is a better single player experience, no. 2 a better party game)

Most of the other top games have been mentioned (namely Zelda, Matroid Prime, Paper Mario, Viewtiful Joe etc)

Wave Race is a top racing game (one of my faves) - and very cheap these days. Mario Golf is a top multiplayer game too, up there with Smash Bros.

Of course, Resident Evil 4 is the nuts :)

Mario Golf? Pah!
Mario Power Tennis is where it's at :D

But seriously, Mario Golf is a great game too.

And I highly agree with the Monkey Ballage.

I just can't get into Mario Tennis on the GC :( I've really tried - but it is just so much poorer than Mario Tennis on the N64.

(the 5/10 Edge awarded Power tennis is justified imo. Camalot are losing their touch)

Don't start me on Double Dash lol

Super Monkey Ball 1/2
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Super Mario Sunshine
Metriod Prime 1/2
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
TimeSplitters 2
Paper Mario
Phantasy Star Online 1+2

However, one game I simply can't recommend is Wave Race. I like most racing games, but WR just doesn't seem deep enough for me. To each his own then :)

If you have the original MGS, I suggest not getting Twin Snakes; it's exactly the same game, and 200% extra cut-scenes to sit through (all of which are incredibly over-the-top and cheesy, more-so than they were). The few extra moves aren't worth it.

True, they gave snake new moves without updating the enemy AI at ALL. You hvae to put it on extreme difficulty to even be slightly challenged by the game. But if you've never played MGS1, get it. Personally, i think it would have been better if they remade the original two Metal gears as cube exclusives.

I cried many a night after my first experience with Mario Kart: Double Dash. I particularly remember the music, the sonic terror that made my ears cry out in agony.

Imagine a voice acted "UH-OH! THE TRUCK HAVE STARTED TO MOVE!" or the ever popular "I FEEL ASLEEP!"
Golden.

Paper Mario 2
Metroid Prime 1 and 2
Zelda: Windwaker

There was a collectable disc that came with special Gamecube bundles, that included both N64 zelda games AND both NES zelda games. That disc alone is worth getting.

All of the above are awesome.

Also, Rogue Squadron 2 and 3 are brilliant. Luigi's Mansion is also a fun game.

Here's some more ones:
  • Burnout 2 - awesome racing game with a great sense of speed. If you already have it for another console or have the sequel, then don't bother.
  • Pikmin 1/2 - awesome games, similar to RTS in style, tons of puzzles and a huge world.
  • Star Fox Adventures - not a must-have but it's a fun game, if a bit of a Zelda rip-off. Awesome graphics, though.
  • Prince of Persia 1/2 - if you don't have them already, you should probably get them. Both are great games, though they do appear on other consoles.
  • Paper Mario 2 - great RPG title with lots of humour.
  • Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader - awesome game. Gets a little boring after a while, but it's definitely a lot of fun the first time through. Also features some of the best graphics on the Cube.
  • Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes - remake of the original Metal Gear Solid in the Metal Gear Solid 2 style. Great production, but controls may seem a little awkward and the game is very short (not to mention cutscenes make up about 50% of it).
  • Luigi's Mansion - adventure/puzzle game with great lighting effects. Short, but it's a fun game you can get easily enough used. Buy it, beat it, sell it.
That's all I can think of now. There's certainly more out there worth getting.

A rather unsurprising comment as that is most people's attitude toward the GC until they play it.

The GC has the most outstanding games in terms of gameplay, and you'll be hard pressed to find a game with frame rate issues on the GC. Whilst it may not have many, 80% of the GC's titles are highly polished games that have been crafted with much care and with the serious gamer in mind. The other 20% are EA games.
The PS2 and Xbox on the other hand, although they have hundreds more titles than the Cube, only about 30% of these titles on each system is really worth throwing down the money for, especially with the PS2. The PS2 scene is strewn with budget titles and movie cash-ins, and the other junk that the mainstream audiences eat up but the hardcore gamers shit on.
I personally think the most fun for your money is the GC, the PS2 is even begging ports from the 'cube, just look at Viewtiful Joe.
