Gears of war could be going to PS3

I want it to come to the PC. GoW with a mouse and keyboard ftw.

This ain't gonna happen, considering MS partially funded the DEVELOPMENT and ADVERTISING and PUBLISHING of the game.

Does no-one remember what Sony wanted to do with GTHD/GT5? Having you only buy the basic game then charging you for cars/tracks with real money? How is that any better I ask.

I myself think the fact that the website is called "PS3 Center" pretty much speaks for itself..

Heck, that ****ing site doesn't even have any ****ing sources for its claims, so this is about as reliable as me pulling news out of my ass that Gran Turismo 5 is coming to the XB360 alongside God of War 3!:D
 
i want a pc version too.. and if there is one, it will probably come out after ut2k7

I've seen things like this before on Playstation websites. No credibility whatsoever.

I heard about Gran Tourismo costing over $1000 after you have bought all of the content. What a joke Sony has become.
 
I don't think this will happpen but if it does then it will be good for sony as they need more games. (I am torn between a wii and a ps3 because both don't have any great games yet and I don't know what to get).

Well, to be fair, they did scrap that idea and release it for free ...
 
This is about as likely as MGS4 appearing on the 360.
 
PsychoFreak, MGS4 appearing on the XB360 is actually more likely because of several reasons
1. MGS2 was ported to the XB1(Although didnt sell all too well)
2. Hideo Kojima doesnt get final say in what gets ported to what afaik, but the stockholderse of Konami INC does, similiar to how Capcom works.

PS3 News websites are as bad as the console, or should I say its games... hell, why not both :D May be throw in a bad community as well :p
 
I heard Bioshock is coming to PS3 too. A "timed-exclusive" according to the same site and whatever magazine it quotes. Fewer exclusives means fewer reasons to buy one console over another. Why have 2 "next-gen" systems anyway?? Hopefully they will merge and just make lots of money from software and accessories. R&D with both big guns involved would yield some amazing gains and hardware manufacturing costs would hurt much less. This may not actually happen of course....

Not to mention that article where he kept saying that the game could have been done on the 360 just the same... matter of fact, didn't they say it was a possibility?

But MGS2 sold horridly on the XBOX, so I would doubt any more MGS games will be on an Xbox.
 
Personally, I think the PC deserves to have Gears, its an awesome game! But I'm concerned about wonky controls. I just see it as being really weird with a keyboard and mouse.

Unless they can improve it, I think games should stick with the control scheme the game was designed around, so they should include gamepad support.

I do think a Keyboard and mouse might be better for this game than a gamepad - at least for most of us.

We would probably get both - like any decent game.

I will hear it for saying this - you have a $300-$3,000 gaming PC, please, do yourself a favor and buy yourselves a damn gamepad. :devil:




Most games you will want to use kb/mouse, but for those certain games that require analog movement, that a keyboard cannot - and may not ever provide, despite my ingenious ideas ... some gamepads even have a couple analog buttons which are great for racing games.

Anyway, Gears would probably play even better with a kb/mouse. Imagine the aiming accuracy. :sniper:

Actually, that was just because it was a poor port, they should have put MS in charge of making the port, like they did with the PC version of Metal Gear Solid 1(IIRC).

I have no doubt a well-done port of MGS2 or MGS3 on the XB1 with proper advertising would have sold very good.:)

I'm gonna say it's only a matter of time before MGS series goes truly multiplatform, and there's a big difference between MGS series and Gears of War series, seeing as GoW was funded by Microsoft, whereas MGS series are funded by Konami, not by Sony, and as thus have far more possibility of being ported.

And tbh, I find it amusing that you doubt there will be anymore on an Xbox, whilst you make a thread that links to a PS3 site that claims GoW might be headed to the PS3, with NO sources and that makes no mention of the well-known fact that Microsoft both published and funded development of Gears of War..

By that logic, I might as well post a article on a XB360 fanboy site about rumors of MGS4 coming to the 360 without any sources in the article, and it'd be just as reliable.:)
 
Disregarding Xbox/MS/PS3/PC clashes, Gears is a fantastic title that DESERVES to be available to all platforms.

Great game, I hope it is released to a wider market.
