GeForce 5700 FX 256 MB

a 256mb FX 5700 probably uses high nanosecond ram, this would be bad, also the memory controller on the 5700 is only 128 bit, you'd be better off with a 5900, if you don't want to go with ATI.
The memory controller on the 5900's is 256bit, therefore a card like the 256mb 5700 will have a memory bandwidth of about 14GB/s whereas the 5900 has a bandwidth of about 24GB/s, the better bandwidth on the card, the faster and larger amount of texture rendering the card can do.
If you have to go for a 5700, the ultra is the only one to go for, because it uses DDR3 ram, and its clocks are 450/950.
