i kept following the stories about the new 512MB thats its superfast card , i thought it was BS , but looks like it real =\

Ok fellas....i think im done here. Here is the deal......this card will hit 10k stock with a decent cpu. I think it was nvidias goal to have this cards hit 10k at stock lol. I brought my card back to stock specs (580, 1.7) and here is what i scored......

With a 4000+ amd 64....this score would have been passed 10k from a stock 7800gtx 512. This is just an XFX card....cant wait to see the others. EVGA already mentioned a special version of the 512. Sick i tell ya lol.

You know whats even better? Come spring time Nvidia is going to release the 90nm refresh of the GTX with 32 pipe lines and possibly oer a 700mhz core speed!!

Nah the X800XT PE was faster than a 6800U in most games anyway. ATI have technically been on top for the last 2 generations. I really can't wait till the 512meg 7800GTX comes out here in oz though, I'd put down the cash for one of those.

I think you mean the x850XT PE was faster than the 6800u. Either way, Nvidia had SM 3.0 and all that good stuff in the 6 series.
