At the very least we have over 2gig of HL2 preloaded. It is going to see the light of day. DNF should just die....

ALL game developers do that. You think that when Doom 3 was announce id came out and said "August 2004"? I read an old review of a Geforce 3 which talked about Doom 3 being the first game that will use Geforce 3 cards to the full. That gives you an idea of when Doom 3 was expected to come out.

All developers have estimates that they miss. Valve gave one exact date that they missed and now everyone thinks they are famous for wrong release dates.

Guys, 3DRealms.. or Valve.. or any company doesn't OWE you anything. Until the game goes on sale, the only people putting their hearts, souls, sweat and blood into whatever game you're pining for are the people working on it. Give them time.
