The reason scientology isn't a religion is because you have to pay money to "advance" in it. Where as in real religions it's free.

But yeah Germany shouldn't restrict it's people's rights to be dumbasses.

If Germany outlawed atheism we'ed attack it mercilessly, yet atheism isn't a religion.

They didnt ban it because it was a way of thinking that they didnt like, they banned it because they saw the truth, that it was just a money making scam that feeds off easily manipulated people.

You do realise that in Germany and Austria, if you are a member of the Catholic Church you are required to pay a tithe (or, more accurately, a church tax of 1% of your income)? If you refuse to pay you can be sued by the Church and kicked out.

They still banned a religion, and stopped it's open practice. If it's a money making scam, then those responsible for the scam should be individually prosecuted, there is still no reason to ban the religion as a whole.

All religions and spiritual organizations are scams, they all wanted something out of it's members, in return for a lie.
