What problem? I can't seem to find any virus problems. But it doesn't, and there aren't viruses :-P. If windows had good security.... viruses wouldn't as much of a problem.
If were talking about games...WELL THATS QUITE THE BLOW TO LINUX. Do I have to say more? Also in that case wtf were you talking about Open Office for? Hell I could hardly get UT2004 to install on Linux. Was not a very user friendly process. And whether or not windows comes with a desktop pc isn't really important to any gamer, because most gamers (at least that I know) don't buy pc's from companies such as DELL or what not, because they want a machine that can run their games well. So they build their own, and HAVE to buy an OS. Which is why I got linux.
And I built my computer. Whats an extra $100 onto $1500?. Hell just in order to get WINE to play the games it does play at the same speed as Windows you'll have to even buy better parts putting the cost even higher. So yeah....you do not get Linux for playing games.
So what is your point here? You havn't had to pay for a program for linux either. The only thing I've had to pay-software on Windows is....err....let me think... hey nothing!but I have yet to pay for a program for linux.
Omgz, wow. Such a program that could only possibly ever be made on Linux!Yum is another thing linux has that makes using windows a pain. Yum allows you to get a program, without even having to search for it on the net. For instance I could type "yum install xIRC" it then downloads and install the program xIRC for me.
You still havn't givin me a better reason why Linux is better?
-Viruses? Maybe before SP2....
Well my wireless and sound dosn't seem to like Linux very much. And when installing the damn Nvidia driver it was a much much longer process than doing it on Xp.And I haven't had a problem with drivers except the ATI ones,
