I would think of myself as a graphics wh0re when it comes to gaming, so i am wondering should I get Episode 2 for my 360 that i play in HD on my 42 inch Sony HDTV (720p) or should I stick with what I have been playing the Half Life series on, my PC. I have a NVIDIA 7600GT graphics card with 2GB of RAM, and I dont plan on upgrading it any time soon. Based on that, should I get it for my 360 or PC?

If you like playing an FPS with a controller, X360. If you like playing with a mouse, PC. If you like updates, patches and loads of 3rd party maps, PC.
Your pc will run it on high graphics just fine (if your cpu is on par with your graphics card).

As long as I can play it on all high settings on PC, ill stick with PC.

I'm a PC guy, so I'll stick with that.

Playing Ep2 on my HDTV would be sweet, but would seem foreign since I've always been playing Half-Life and mods on my PC.

Can't you hook up your 42 inch tv onto your computer?

Either way, I would choose PC, but then again, that's just me.

Good old trusty PC for me.

I have an awesome graphics card so I'm pretty lucky for most games. :)

PC after all there could also be the chance that EP3 doesn't come out for 360.

ok what about moi, i have a Radeon X1600, 2.4Ghz cpu (may have a dual core cpu by the end of the month), 1GB RAM. Shall I stick to the PC (which I prefer for FPSs), or get it for my new 360?

Im getting it for both but im going to have the most fun on the pc.

PC. If for nothing else, you get mods on the PC. Plus IMO it's much easier to play FPSes on a PC than on a console, but that's just my opinion.

I forget who said it, but:

"Trying to play shooters on consoles is like trying to wank with no thumbs."

Actually I have been pplaying shooters fine on the 360, even though I have always played them on the PC, but after getting over thr hype of getting the 360, im starting to play the PC a lot again lol, so I think i will just get EP2 etc for the pc.

Seeming as my computer isn't exactly what you would call 'good' i'd get it foir X360 but looking at your specs on your PC i would suggest getting it for your PC despite the fact you get to play it in High Def on your 360

Even tho the controller doesn't come close to the PC. Once you get use to it. Its not so bad.

Yes I can, and I have, but its hard to play on such a big HDTV 5 feet away from the screen because my keyboard and mouse wont stretch any farther. (I dont have a wireless keyboard and mouse.)

Oh yeah, you know, because it's IMPOSSIBLE to get updates and patches on a console... :upstare:
I'm getting the Orange Box and Black Box. HDR in HL2 vanilla + Xbox Live FTW . I will never give up the KB/M Half Life experience, though. It's simply the best controlling PC shooter, and it's perfectly tuned for a mouse... SO much fun. But VALVe is also designing a new scheme around the 360 controller, and console controlling is just as much fun for me, just in a different way (since they aren't even close to the same league of precision).

Just grab a wire less key board and mouse it is really ****ing easy.

better idea, don't buy either of them :naughty: Video games are bad for you anyways.

I'm probably gonna get it on the Xbox 360, because my computer isn't that great at the moment. I can only run Half-Life 2 at Medium and load times take about 2-3 minutes. But that being said I will eventually get it on the PC, because as far as first person shooters go, PC is and always will be the leader.

So if I go in a store and grab a wireless mouse and keyboard, it automatically is mine without having to pay for it?! Wow, that IS really ****ing easy.

Anyway, I dont like wireless mice and keyboards, tried them in the past and didnt likie.

im hopefully gettin it for both, however i will prob get it for xbox 360 first.

my specs:

intel pentium 4 3.4ghz
2gb RAM
Nvidia 7800GS (AGP)

The reason im gettin it for 360 first is because my pc doesnt run source games that well. One min it could be 160 fps the next it drops below 40...

Why in gods name would you get it for both?

PC. No way I'm buying it for 360. To me at least, Half Life has always been a PC game, and I won't break the cycle.

360 4 me i play em on my pc aswell but ep1 aint dat gd graphics on my pc cuz my low grapics card lol half life 2s on high 4 everyting dow but 360 by far plus using the mouse and keyboard is annoying as f**k.

u do get updates on 360 the xbox live ting i updated well loads ov my games on dat.

ting? dat?

DOES. NOT. COMPUTE.

and ill probably get the 360 package, i reckon my PC would only give a good FPS on medium settings for it, so better safe then sorry.
