Getting news on frontpage

What do I have to do? I sent a mail about my mods news days ago. It had screenshots of our vehicles in game, as well as a little video of our alpha. Is this the mail to send new to?

Unlikely, what is more likely that the news team is in bed ;) :p

If it is deemed newsworthy, then it'll be up on the frontpage soon enough :)

Yes, I'm sorry I've not been around often enough with the right gear to really do a news post for a bit. I need to sort a few things out first :(

I will make a post on the forum about my mods progress. You can take info from there if anybody wants to stick it on the front page.

Which mod is it? That might help...

It would be fun to have a map where you simply race through a city and blow up other cars, like twisted metal.

Source seems like a good engine for that sort of thing in a city. Car mayhem :)

You have to remember two things
1) your news might be crap
2) the people are very busy with millions of people trying to send in news so won't be able to reply to everyone.

Quoted for emphasis.

Rather than "crap" though, in your case CommandoSR, we generally only post news if it contains skinned renders, videos, maps or anything else rather substantial.

tomdan, you probably fall in the second category and I apologise for this. We'll try to post your news next time.

Well, it's kind of hard to come up with updates when there isn't much staff around. And when no news are posted, less people know about the mod and it is less likely that people join.
I've seen several times untextured models or maps posted here.

I had submitted the news way before that. Since it's been quite long time, I don't remember what it was exactly about.

None of the updates on your page are news worthy on their own - perhaps together as a big media release, but on their own, no.

One update per month is better than none at all. I've learned it from past.
