I picked this up today for the XBOX after playing the first one, and what a pleasant suprise it is I didn't think it'd be great after seeing some screenshots but picked it up anyway - and it really is very good, loving it so far, even though it's bloody hard.

I would reccomend this game to anyone whole liked like 1st game, or if you like squad-shooters in general. It's fun, realistic, authentic - my only trouble with it so far is slow down in some places but it's never unplayable. Also the squad commands and AI is actually pretty decent, you can order your squad to supress the enemy while you flank 'em, or vice versa, blah de blah.

Anyway, good game, anyone else got it?

I have this game. I never played the 1st one but this game is sooo awesome. The gun with the camera is so sick! And yea XBOX Live gameplay is the best! the game is very realisitic! if u ever wanna play with me, XBL name is: primesusp3t

Nah, believe me they didn't do that, they just took everything and streamlined it all so it's all so much more polished, accessible and still is realistic and gritty like the old one. I would definitely not call this game a pile of shit, nor is it different really, it's still really the same old game, if the view bothers you (i think it's so much better) you can set it to 1st person like the other one. Honestly, don't knock it before you've tried it

That's strange... using www.gamerankings.com , it turns out that GR2 for the Xbox has an average score of 83%, and ghost recon for the PS2 has an avg. score of 59%. The PS2 version must suck... it got 6/10 in OPS2 as well :/

Yes, it is. It is supposed to be the ported version of the XBOX-game.

Ugh, I saw the video and was turned off. They changed the tactical style from the first one into an arcadey, third person pile of shit. :\
