Yeah that one was creepy, but not impossible to fake in post production, meaning with a computer. I remember seeing a video with a UFO flying between apartment buildings that looked pretty convincing, but was later proven to be CGI.

I find it funny that at the beginning of the first video it says "think outside the box" and then proceeds to call these things demons and ghosts. If any of these phenomena have any truth to them I'm 100% sure they're not spirits.

Honestly, Ghost Hunters is much better. Hell, most of the time they don't capture anything, which makes it all the more interesting when they do catch something. I <3 Ghost Hunters.

Its actually incredibly easy to fake. Remember that HP commercial with the picture frames?

Its the same thing, they just took the still image of the girls face, and masked out the real mirror, and left that one frame there. Its so easy to do in fact, that if you just search for "hp commercial" you'll find a shit ton of videos where amateur editors recreate it.

In fact, all of those are so easy to make with just wires/tricks, or CG/video editing.

what proved it was fake was that in the first goshts stuff all the phantoms look alike which is kind of lame considering that goshts apear in tons of forms isnt?

I didn't expect anything too advanced for a little amateur ghost video done in post, and there was no obvious masking / tracking mistakes so I was looking for practical visual tricks

At first I thought it was a fake mirror with a diff' kid on the other side like in that bathroom prank lul

Damnit, these always freak me a little bit.

Not because of the ghosts, but because of the ever-present possibility of a screamer D:

The existence of the "screamer" pictures have been well-documented throughout the history of the internet. Most people recognize the telltale signs of a screamer file, whether movie, flash, or .gif; usually these files tell you to turn your sound up, or to look for something hidden in an otherwise bland and seemingly empty picture, only to have a ghostly or gruesome visage pop out unexpectedly, giving the viewer a brief, heart-stopping hysteria. It's never serious; the worst you'll ever see someone suffer from one of these pranks is leaping out of their chairs, or hitting the monitor, or running out of the room. Harmless fun, created easily enough from a .wav file of a screen, and any movie or .gif editing software by inserting a scary picture inbetween the frames.

There are, however, instances of screamer files doing more lasting damage than just a brief "gotcha" moment. Unpopular, not-so-well documented cases of everything from strokes to permanent psychological trauma. An inability to even sit facing a monitor, for fear that a flash on the screen will reveal ghostly horrors of the long-since-passed; of monsters, and demons, and mutilated humans with blood-drenched pits for eyes and faces contorted into everlasting screams. Harmless fun, created easily enough with a soundfile of a scream and a spooky picture.

Except for the pictures existing out there in cyberspace that were never meant to be screamers in the first place.
