GhostValkyrie Mod or not?

Im sure it is. In fact, if this carries on the thread may magically close. This is a fruitless debate which doesnt really involve the parties that its about. Ghost doesnt seem to care, at least to the extent of making any real complaints. Im sure he doesnt like the fact he's not longer a mod, but thats besides the point.
 
I agree Letters, I mean what has politics ever done for anyone except start arguements and wars.....

Most of the time its just a couple of middle aged guys argueing over whether canibis should be made legal or not and then decideing that it shouldn't because the voters wouldn't like it anyway. :(


Edit: Yeah were goin off topic. Thats true. But we are waiting for a result... or more people to post here.

Yeah I want GV back in, I think i was one of the first to suggest that it was a brash action to remove his "power"

LOL, I never even saw the thread that got GV defrocked until this evening, let alone asked for his dismissal dude, that all happened way outside my timeline. I'm just responding to marksmans thread and stating my opinion on whether he should be reinstated.

Also I'm not sure where you get this 'tree hugging hippie' idea about my views on things either. If you've ever bothered to read any of my posts, you'll find I'm a lot more hardnosed about issues than most people.
 
Bloody hell isnt this ironic, load of people are posting things which are simular to GV's post that got him losing his status in the first place, I dont apprechiate (sp?) this crap, cant we all just be friends??? :) Just leave it, its up to the staff now.

lol waedoe you make fun of mr reak saying "wanna be immigrant" but in your other thread you say immigration is a good thing and having open borders is a good thing. Mr Reak is actually doing it the legal way and working on a citizenship, but you would rather illegals pour in and say its a good thing because bush said so?

he didnt do anything. people get all hot and bothered about nothing, and its super gay of the admins to do that. just my opinion, i like ghost and he is the BEST mod here by FAR.

you spoke you mind as an individual, in no way did you appear to represent the forum or anybody else but yourself. the peopel whinning thats not the way to lead whats up with that all a mod does is enforce the rules of the forum he's not out teaching any values, or trying lead any of us.

dont underestimate the fact that we are what keep your commuity alive and without us this site is literally nothing but information. so actually we do (in an indirect way) decide what to do :)
 
Know what else I dont like/annoys me? When people use smilies :)))in the middle or the end of a negative sentence. Its like your backing down from your opinion, say what you want and dont be afriad of what people say.

lol, I think Ghostvalkyrie appologized, he was man enough to step up to the plate, its only my opinion but it shows a lot of character, I think he deserves a second chance.
 
why can't people accept that there may be more to this than the one thread? if abom is such a stand up guy (and i tend to think badger and chris_d are too, though i don't know much about the other mods), then why do you doubt their reasons for demoting GV? personally, i like GV more as a forumer than a mod.. he can let loose now.

I admit, his statement could've been handled in a similar, less offensive way, but a mod has opinions too, even if that means he can't express them as properly as normal posters.

Even if This doesnt make a diference, this thread is here for a reason, so I do believe he deserves to be mod again. Cant always expect everyone to be perfect, so he made a mistake and appologised for it. Hes been a really cool mod in my opinion, and I think it would be good if he got his powers back. :)

He hasn't been a moderator for about eight months... no wait it's actually only been a day. That's right only been about one or two days, so if you think he did something that's not befitting of a moderator, well just think of him as getting punished for now. If in a month he's still not a mod then I can see you guys starting a rally or something. As said before this is a job for the staff not a small portion of the community.

We don't make this website, trust me very few people would leave just because Ghost is no longer a mod. When Half-Life 2 is released there'll be a surge in members who still won't care if Ghost is no longer a mod. No one here's in a position to tell the staff that they have to do as we say or else we'll leave.

I really miss the nazi mod remarks, and the "You're not supposed to express your feelings!" statements. Seriously, it was always hilarious to see that.

It was also fun being looked up to by the community...well, a portion of the community that is. ;)
 
......the powers that be, made a decison to take away ghosts mod status..... i think that is a good thing, becuase he seemed to piss alot of people off. All the right winger guys defending him for speaking his mind are missing the point. He was out of line. Wether he was defending the left or the right doesnt mean jack shit.

no offence ghost....but this is stupid.

There should be a rule against these kind of threads.

I know, that's why I take the position of neutrality. To have it back would be nice, but I won't argue if the decision is a no. I really liked having the orange letters next my name though. I interact with you guys on the same either way.

As for the freedom in itself on these forums, I doubt it. If anything, I might become a target. Besides, I tried to contain my offensive comments before I became a Mod.
It's just something I do. I myself can't believe I went off on him like that. It's really not like me to blow up on someone. I guess the Kettle got too hot. ;)
