How the hell to make $1000 in 3 weeks. Already have a job that sucks so dont tell me to get a job! Any ideas?
 
work overtime as much as possible.

or you can risk it and go gambling, but you could end up losing the lot.

you could take out a loan if you're old enough. or you could borrow off your parents if you're depserate.

clean people's cars, do the housework for extra pocket money. spend the hours between 4-7pm busking at your local place of public transport. bound to bring in a few bob.

try lots of different things as opposed to just one.

or there's the lottery if you're old enough.
 
Well here I'll give you my situation. The computer in my sig is what that money is going towards. I'm withdrawing $1300 from my bank account (which after I get the comp I will gradually replace). Then I'm selling my current rig for $500. (3.0ghz p4, 1gb pc3200, ati 9800 pro 128mb, santa cruz sound card, and basically everything else the same). Plus I have $400 currently. That's a total of $2200. The total cost is $2700. Oh shit my bad...im that bad at math. I need to make $500 in 3 weeks.
 
that pc you're selling is worth more than $500 (only 300 odd quid!) i'm sure you could squeeze another $250 at least out of the person who's buying it. seriously. if they won't buy it then sell it some other mug for around a grand, which is actually closer to what it's worth.

Why the deadline? Also why bother trying to get such top of the line stuff? It will be obsolete in a year anyway. It's just a waste of good money in my opinion. If you get stuff that is just below the best you can probly save a thousand dollars and then have money to upgrade later.

I understand if you have lots of money and just like to spend it on staying top of the line, but since you obviously don't it seems strange to me.
 
Hmm....If i need a lot of money fast i would go to Medeval, its a medical reseach place where they pay you a lot to try out different drugs. Nothing too serious really, but you can get anything between £500 to £3000 normally....of course thats not good for you since you arent even in this country :D But you should look out for things like that, you are probably too young but no harm in trying.

Neutrino i understand what your saying but I'm buying whatevers on top now because I'm going to college with it. This is the last upgrade I'll be doing for a few years and I'd like it to last me. Only thing i disagree with you on is that it'll be obsolete. People still are running systems with 1 ghz and are doing fine with todays programs and games.

Ah that makes a lot more sense now. I can understand doing something like that right before you go to school.

Ya and by obsolete I merely meant in comparison to the latest hardware that is sure to replace it. Not obsolete for software.
 
Well in a year theres gonna be FX-70's and intel p6's....id hope itd be obsolete in comparison by that time lol. if not the computer industry should just end now.

Naive little me thought you meant Coca-Cola at first. Or did you?
 
Looks like you have done a lot of research about computers, Guinny. You may have learned enough about them to fix them for friends and family. Great way to earn pocket change.

If you know your roommates in advance, ask them to help.
 
Find an older change machine, attach packaging tape to the end up it and start fishing. I made $100 in 3 days doing that and I was doing it really slowly and just about 20 minutes a day.

AH! That's right! My current boss who I have the shit job at wants me to teach him all about computers for $15 an hour for 4 hours a day. That's 60 bucks a day! Thanks for reminding me blah im gonna give him a call right now! :smoking:

Easy: apply for 1000 credit cards, bill one dollar to each one, and then pay them back at the end of the month.

Or bill 1000 to one credit card.
