Too many people are making this connection, and I don't get it at all.

G-Man: omnipresent being capable of interacting with reality and shaping the present and future to the will of multi-dimensional clientele.

GLaDOS: crazed homicidal computer which gained consciousness in the mid 90s. She's been alone for 20 years.

I know people are very excited about the possibilities of what GLaDOS might do next, but I hate to disappoint - she's just a nuts computer that tries to kill people.

Finkle is not Einhorn in this case. Sorry.

In the future of an alternate timeline, GLaDOS is the child of the G-Man and Lamarr. She sent her dad the G-Man into the past to manipulate Gordan into causing the Combine invasion in a precisely engineered manner that caused the main timeline's GLaDOS, an Aperture Science AI, to kill everybody then become horribly lonely and depressed so that she would be receptive to erasing her memory banks and replacing them with those of alternate reality GLaDOS. Alternate reality GLaDOS then destroys her reality, merging the timelines while remaining "still alive" by means of the copy. Unfortunately, her plans were ruined because she failed to realize that Chell was actually a Combine advisor trained as a Team Fortress 2 spy!

Actually, I was kinda expecting to see a glimpse of him during may first playthrough. It would've been awesome, but probably not plausible
