Glasses Vs. Contacts

I was wondering what your opinion was on Contacts and Glasses, pro, cons and all.
I was thinking of getting contacts.

Glasses perhaps if your vision isn't too bad, or you look better with them.

I've had contacts and glasses, I can honestly say that glasses are better. In the long term, contacts can do damage.

After staying off contacts for a month, I decided to start wearing them again. My eyes rejected them, and they would not stay on.

Contacts just make your eyes go red and water. Not sexy at all. And don't get me started on the intelligence of poking yourself in the eye with a piece of plastic.

Day and Night Contacts. They are super. I can wear them all night, even when sleeping which make parties alot easier.

Personally I use both, depending on the occasion. I typically wear glasses for things like TV, Movies, Games, or anything that requires eye concentration. Contacts for beach, sports, and occasionally wearing them so my eyes stay used to it.

Well, my eyes are excellent, but with most people, I'd recommend contacts. Some people look great in glasses though. I guess it just comes down to personal preference.

contacts, simply because glasses have never looked good on me and all i ever have to endure is the ocassional horrible pain of dust getting under the lense. BUt after enough horrible pains it becomes less and less of a big deal.

I could probably catch a fork with my eye nowadays

Sadly my eyes are fine, but i wouldn't mind having glasses. My missus has glasses, and i like them alot, i find them attractive. Some thing its a geeky symbol, i totally disagree, i'm a big fan of them. So for that reason contacts ruin my fun, and glasses are better

Personally I think it just all depends on the person. If you look good in glasses then I would recommend getting them just less hassle in some cases. But if you are like some of the people in the world who do not look good in glasses then I would recommend you to get contacts. It just depends on the type of physically structure your face has.

I have glasses. I think I'd look better with contacts but I don't really care. Also, my eyes are really dry and tired already so wearing contacts would probably just make it worse. The idea of sticking things on my eyes never appealed to me either.

Depends on your lifestyle. If you did alot of rockclimbing I woudn't reccomend glasses, etc.

I have only used glasses before. I would like to get contacts too. Glasses are too much of a bother for me. There are many times I could use glasses but just for a short glance or something. That is too many times to take my glasses on and off. Only time I use them atm really is for driving. Otherwise they get in the way.

Of course if I got contacts my opinion may change. lol

I have glasses, I used to have thick monstrosities and believe me I didn't get many comments when I was younger to the effect of "gee those glasses look smashing" or "my word you look intelligent today". I got the usual four eyes comments along with the nerd comments. Buh who cares, I have emo glasses now so I can cut myself if need be.

Get contacts and a pair of glasses. Most of the time contacts are infinitely better but sometimes you just need quick vision and glasses are right there to whip out if your contacts aren't in.

I use both contacts and glasses and both suit me fine, in comfort and look. However I use glasses on 'normal' days where I'm just sitting in front of the computer or... hehe 'learning' at school. But when I'm doing a peformance somewhere or playing dport or diving (obviously) contacts are the best things in the world.

Also to those people who don't like the idea or sticking plastic in your eye, it really isn't that bad. For the first couple of wears you can feel a slight itch, then after that you can't feel anything at all.

Also my eyes are slightly out of shape to, but the contacts sit perfectly.

same. When anything gets anywhere near my eyes I move/flinch/ect. I can't get them in so I'm just like to hell with it and I just wear the glasses

I've been wearing contacts since I was 12, prior to which I wore glasses for some time. But about two years ago I just decided to wear glasses for the hell of it. Everybody was shocked to see me with them and it took some getting used to, but now they say they can't imagine me without them. More importantly, however, female responses ranged from "You look far more intelligent" to "Pretty good" to "You're ****ing hot". Although keep in mind that most of the women I attract are nuts on some level or another (more than the average).

So now I basically switch between the two whenever. If it's a laid back night at a pub or if i'm just lazing about on my computer, I wear the glasses. If it's a club or something more active, I switch to lenses.
