Glasses, who wears um'?

I wear glasses. Contacts annoy the **** out of me. I may get some later on, but I am quite happy with the glasses currently.

One of the thingies that keep them on your ears is off... don't even know where it is. The other one is bent and loose.

Ah mate, that is some pretty major damage. It's always worth taking them into wherever you bought them. I'm sure it's not that expensive to repair the frames. I always find it's the lenses (for me) which are the expensive bits!

I have had glasses for four years, 2 pears total. Never broke either and still have them. I don't see whats so hard about this, I mean I sleep with mine on sometimes lol!

EVERYONE in my entire extended family (which is quite large) wears glasses. I have 20:15 vision. I am very grateful, but even more confused.

If only!!!!

Still, things with me and Phobie should start kicking off soon!!! Nothing's going on yet, but give it time!!!! Toaster really shouldn't have gotten herself banned; I've taken her place!!!!!!

I wear glasses. They are government issue. Thread restored.

only sunglasses.
I don't wear glasses because of my principles.

Couldn't stand having glasses, if you accidentally fell asleep on them or if you go swimming they'll fall right off and then get scratched and all bent to shit, making you drive an hour to the nearest lens crafters. :frown:

Contacts are the way to go, they're disposable and somewhat cheap so if you lose one it's no big loss.
I only need one anyways, my left eye is extremely nearsighted while my right eye is perfect.

My lenses are scratched to hell and back. It's starting to drive me nuts, as there's so many now that it seems foggy to look though. F**king bad eyes.

Lasik sucks too. According to some reports from people I know who had it done, they say that light "artifacting" is prevelant. i.e. The same effect when you view light from a camera lens.

Next greatest medical achievement/milestone: Eye transplants ftw.

I used to but got that LASIK surgery done a few years back. It's great! I can see better than ever.

Why did I never see this?

The hell are you talking about, foo'?

Anyway so I wear glasses.

Who doesn't wear glasses. It's a geeky video game forum.

I'm sure some people wear contacts, but the majority of the forum will wear glasses.

I've worn glasses for almost ten years I think, and I prefer contacts over them. I have daily disposable lenses, which are nice since I don't have to faff around after taking them out, but they start to dry up a bit sooner than monthlies do.

I can see clearly for about 10 inches in front of me without glasses or contacts. Yaaaaaaa.

Oh, and I wear glasses/contacts...and will one day be legally blind, so I will be able to park in the Handicapped spots!! WOO! :bounce:

That's true, I do wear contacts most of the time.

I hate to crush your hopes, but I don't think that you can drive if you're legally blind.

I've worn glasses since I was around 8. Tried to have the corrective surgery when I went in to fix my eye muscle problems, but it didn't particularly 'take'. I'm used to them now, and can't really see a damn thing without them. I don't do the contacts thing because I have this weird thing with touching eyes (it creeps me the hell out).

Plus glasses make you look smarter, and therefore sexier. It's science.

Oh, but you can!! Just not very well! I promise I'll avoid flea markets and open festival-like places!

It's not the driving.. it's the parking... it's all about that front row space! ;)

Haha, if you avoid Nottingham then I'll be even happier mate! The front row space is pretty top drawer though, I agree.

The Russian government does not allow it's citizens to wear prescription glasses?
Nah,I just don't like to walk with a pair of telescopes on my nose.My right eye is normal,so I still can see the world as it is.
