I noticed hl2 comes with a large amount of glitches (certain npcs disappearing, script glitches, texture glitches and many, many more)
Could this mean hl2 is still beta. Sorry if i'm repeating old threads.

Welcome to the world of PC gaming, where not a single game is without gliches. If you think HL2 is bad, try other games (go with Deus Ex 2 and Vampire: Blood Lines for real glitch horror).

PS: This is a very nice reply to your substandard question

Yeah but this is HL2!!! HL2!!!!!!

Ha ha, true enough, well if it makes it better, first time through I did not encounter a single glitch and second time through I found one, where a load point did not work, which was solved by going back two quick saves.

What about the original first deus ex. It had so many bugs, thankfully the team ironed those out really quickly but i remember at first where reflections were green.

That is most likly due to video card incompetability. We are talking about bugs that are independant of graphics (ie, the really annoying ones), such as never geting the spores after killing the giant antlion if you kill it wiht a crossbow (don't know if they fixed that one yet).

bugs are one thing on pc games, but if you want to see real bugs, go buy a console

once a bug, always a bug on a console

(btw, check out the update progress on hl2)

Yea, thats one of the reasons PCs are superior to consoles. Updates. :D

well now there is XBOX live. but xbox is bad. only good game is .... wait. ther is none. and the controller is too bulky

Xbox is not bad, they replaced the monster controller with the controller-s which is about the same size as a gamecube controller and is quite good.

But PCs are superior for everything

mouse > than any controller for fps. controllers are only good for racing games. o and side scrollers.

I think it's time to mention the infamous Knights of the Old Republic, both on the Xbox and PC. Terrible, until they patched it ('twas a fun game, though).

I've had no problems with HL2 or Deus Ex/Invisible War...

Maybe your PC's just suck?

But mine sucks also... Hmm...

KOTOR wasn't buggy, and i played it when it first came out, Deus Ex 2 wasn't buggy, i loved it, Half-life 2 wasn't buggy, i loved it, Halo 2 wasn't buggy, i loved it, where is everyone getting all these bugs, maybe i am just lucky :p

Yes. Yes, you are. I have a rather uber-computer, if I do say so myself, and I got some bugs in HL2, DE2, and especially KOTOR. Halo 2 is for X-box, so it doesn't really apply. And I keep my computer clean from spyware, adware and especially viruses.

Well, I think they rushed it that's why it has still many bugs. Anyway, I think the first Homeworld game vitually has no glitches at all.

the glitch (if you could call it that) that i noticed was on desks and cabinets in nova prospekt, where drawers would suddenly appear on them once i got close enough. It was quite noticeable to me, but a small gripe in the contexts of an awesome game.

btw, not my vid card or drivers, they're both very new and up to date.

I haven't gotten any bugs (unless you count slight skipping). I I'v played through the game on medium, hard, hard with Dog's ball and rplayed certain points. My PC is mid-range. I also don't remember any bugs from Deus Ex that I got. I'm uber-lucky.
I do get bugs when playing Substance though.

laff, when I played Vampire: The Bloodline Masq's, I laughed so hard at 1/2 the glitches. I mean...crouched...walking straight at a guy. I don't care HOW high of a level you are....if you just crawl up to a doods face, and he doesn't see you, bleh.

That and the models clipped thru each other more then a camel eats mommas toejam! And trust me, that's often!

HL2: More glitches than you can wave a crowbar at!

NOT!!!!!

(hah. me funny)

Screw the pills, start taking some cyanide... (j.k)
