i posted this in another thread but i think it deserves its own as it's kind of weird.

In this image of a photo you can see what i think is the gman if you zoom in you can even see him holding the handle of his suitcase, there is another person in the image but i dont know who that is.

Hmm, that's interesting. Could just be a coincidence though. What is its significance?

What the hell? G-man in a painting? Doesn't kinda make sense. I think it's just an easter egg.

where did you discover the picture? it looks like the other person is in a lab coat

Coincidence i think not, on closer inspection you can see a red tie, its definetely him :)

Oh yeah you can see this ingame just up the stairs from the electric water puzzle whilst alyx is fighting zombies in the hospital.

I see a human male wearing Black. I do not see the G-Man.

Face looks like HL1 G-man.
Like a low-definition approximation of a human face? Yup, looks exactly like the G-Man.

Weird, can't figure out who that is standing near him, in a white suit, or whether that is definitely the g-man in his current state. Nice find, none the less.

It looks like a woman wearing a white jumper to me. Hence, it looks like a portrait of a married couple. I does not look like the G-Man sitting lovingly next to his labcoat wearing partner!!!

Hmm.... very wierd. To be honest I don't think that man looks like G-Man. Probably there's more guys wearing blue suits :p

This sighting is as unlikely to be true as the Black Mesa team-photo in Kliener's lab and as speculative as the blurry human shape in Alyx's transmission.

Otherwise, were Valve trying to compensate for a lack of G-Man by having the Combine Advisor pop up so quickly to have a look at you? Hell for all we know, the advisor could BE the G-Man :p

A non ripped up version of that picture is in a few houses along the coast in Halflife2. I dont think it really looks like the Gman. There is also a kid with him and the photo looks like it was taken in the early 1900s.

that picture was in the hospital. the fun thing is that I stared at that picture for like 10 minutes and didn't see the Gman. Good job finding him.

screenie please?

Yeah I looked in HL2 for the "non-ripped up version" but I couldnt find it. A screenshot would be nice.

A new screenshot would be nice, old one's been taken down.

Doesnt look like him. Can i have a real hl2 screenshot?

This original painting (right) is on the second floor of the house you meet Odessa Cubbage in and help out defending the area from the gunship. The faded painting (right) is found in the hospital area up the stairs from the electrified water in Episode One. I wonder what the story behind this painting is...

Gman dosnt age?

Well, in Rtb it said something like "he spoke as if he had neural damage or extreme senility", the sentence structure is off but that was the basic idea.

Thanks for posting that pic. I was going nuts checking every house along to coast looking for it!

Woah! That looks wierd. A fully grown man is about 4 foot tall off the ground... looks out of place, almost Gman like if you ask me, it seems "placed".

EDIT: Oh, nevermind. I think he is sitting down. Gman NEVER sits down.

the gman doesn't age because he is just a host body?

oMeSSiaHo, my pleasure.
Mutley, yeah, it's called a chair. ;)
Innervision961, why are you asking others that question as if they know it for sure? lol...
But *I* Know... G-Man works for Burger King. ;)

I'm very interested in what lies behind this now, i'm sure there must be some kind of story, i'll fire that email off for you jeremy if you want me to, including your picture which i will state of course. See what we can work out from it if thats ok?

Right, well the deed is done, i've emailed Gabe, now he does reply occassionally, we must cross our fingers to see if he does. He might not know, but i included if he could ask around the office for the connection. I didn't think Marc Laidlaw would know. Anyhow, the pictures are included you posted wrapped up in the politeness of my email. I must say i'm very interested to hear if there is any connection.

That's not the G-Man, it's just some picture prop that's all. You can also find it in some of the official maps in DoDS

I just want to know, since you say it's just a typical prop, why the people at Valve went to the trouble of editing the original to seem like a torn and faded painting and put it in E1. Why do that for a normal prop? I just hope Gabe finds the time to reply to the e-mail that Hectic Glenn sent.
