How in the hell was it not a huge hit?

I recently re-watched this. It will be my favorite animated movie of all time, and I have a feeling it will stay there. Everything about the movie is fantastic.

Most incredible childhood movie in my memory:D

I love the iron giant. Teared up a bit at the end D:

Suuuuuupeeeer Maaaaaaaan

Same.

I must watch this again tonight.

Pretty good movie, but I hated that little bastards name - Hogarth.

What the hell is that?

One of my favorites also. Vin Diesel crops up in the weirdest places.

Watched once when I was younger, never got around to rewatching it.
I honestly can't stand watching any cartoon films that I saw as a child now.

Except for Titan A.E., so epic.

I wish they would make more animation like this. Nothing against pixar and the like, but this animation has a certain quality to it that I just love. Same with Titan:AE.

I've seen this film but I can't remember any of it.

It lost, like, 16 million I believe. I guess that's what happens when you make a "smart" animated family movie.

Titan A.E. was an awesome movie...imo, one of the most realistic animations up until the FF movie came out...I mean, even watching their hair flow when they turned quickly, it was soo smooth and fluid, it was amazing to watch...

I also support the need for more non-cgi cartoon movies like Titan AE.

I'm really getting sick of this fad.

Ironic, when you consider that Brad Bird's next film was the Incredibles which kicked some serious box-office bottom. You can make a 'smart' animated movie, you just have to rely on the fact that people aren't smart enough to choose anything but Pixar in this day and age.

Not that I've actually seen the Iron Giant. Though I do remember Ted Hughes' book from way back in Primary School. Vaguely anyway :P

I saw this movie when I was like 18, so I didn't get the same feelings as the rest of you. It was a meh movie to me. Not bad, just not awesome.

Doesn't really matter what age you were when you saw it. I saw Finding Nemo when I was 16, and so what, I can still appreciate it and call it a great movie.

[edit] Just watched it again. Dear God... I'm lost for words...
