So I stumbled across this:

Its a game called God hand, I've never heard of it myself but it looks weird and funny enough to give it a try. I love these bizarre japanese games, anyone know of a few that slipped under the radar? Post some bizarre wtf game videos, I'm interested.

Seen it in the stores before. Though I never expected it to be like that...
 
Once again you're showing that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Enjoy missing out on one of the greatest games on the planet.
 
I am sorry to disagree, you'll all find that I hate 90% of Japanese games/cartoons.
Something about them makes me very annoyed, and reminds me of smelly preteens.
 
Please do feel free to remind us of this often. Your view of commonly accepted subcultures is important to us.

God Hand looked really badass from the Let's Play I watched of it, but it's not something I can picture myself playing. Clover make some really excellent games though, Viewtiful Joe wasn't so much my thing, but Okami was a really great Zelda-alike. Looking forward to seeing what they churn out as Platinum.
 
Clover was the greatest thing ever, and Capcom's greatest mistake was closing them down. Everything they made was pure gold. Or, I guess in this case, platinum. Har har. :)

ZT, you've really limited yourself. To say, "I hate 90% of material coming out of Japan," especially being a gamer, is a very narrow point of view. All countries have their deal of shit games, but they all have their share of gems, and to say, "Well I'm not going to play this game because it's from this country, which means it's probably terrible," you're going to miss out on a lot of great stuff.

It's always better to look at things (whether it be games or cartoons) based on their individual merits rather than their country of origin. No matter where God Hand might've come from, it's undeniably one of the greatest beat 'em ups ever created. One thing Clover excelled at was making games that were just plain fun.

Shit you guys are reminding me of games I never really got to. Damn I really need to get another ps2 plus godhand/okami.

I always remember Digital Devil Saga being a quite strange game. Not because of anything gameplay/story related, it was all pretty standard JRPG fair. Mostly because of this character:

Everyone I know who played God Hand (which was, admittedly, three people) LOVED it. Been meaning to try it out for a while.


For that matter, I still need to f*cking play Okami D: D: D:
 
God Hand was actually pretty big when it came out, they reviewed it on a few TV shows, I actually wanted/want to try it. The bosses all look hilarious.
 
I have no idea what that Linger in Shadows game (sorry, interactive art) is about, but holy shit it has an awesome soundtrack.
