God hates Steam and takes it down with storm

this is stupid. I want to access the SDK to work on my map and now i can't because valve are extremely stupid.

It's irresponsible of Valve not to have back up servers elsewhere. Not that they would care though, since they already got our money. All I know is that if Seattle were to get nuked, none of us would play Valve games ever again and our investments would go down the drain.

Oh god cry some more kid? Get a life and go do something else, jesus. Valve cannot control the weather.

Uh, they should have had their servers in more than one area. They have the ability to be a little redundant, don't they? Who would have thought that the power could go out?

Their offline mode is just as ridiculous. You can't even go into "offline mode" without connecting to the Steam servers. Doesn't really make much sense.

for once I agree with you ^_^
and if someone likes games that much its not like steam is the only way to play games.People could just play BF or WoW....

That's exactly what I have been trying to tell these "offline mode" apologists, but they just won't listen.

So a storm was the culprit! I was getting ticked off.

Electricity poles in the area snapped in half, huh? Boy, this is gonna really suck for Valve.

Humans learn from mistakes, hopefully they learned to have more than one server existant in more than one place.

I really hope this doesnt effect Valve, in anyway. Imagine this happened during a launch game.

Uhm...

No.. I need.. to play... Defcon.. Also, I am in California, SO CAL! Pwnd! No storm over here, mofos! Haha...

Whoa, I was just able to log on. Did they fix it already, or what?

Oh no, your life is in the dumps!

That said, I wanted to map as well.

Talk about testing the offline modus on a large scale...

After the latest Steam patch, I am now required to enter my password everytime I login, regardless of the remember password check box. This upset me on friday night as I had no "offline" facilities ;(
