God i'm so nervous!

Well, I had an induction day at college on wednesday. They told me everything that I would be doin...blah blah blah
But at the end of the day my tutor said, on monday come to the A floor straight away.
Guess what, in a desprate attempt to make it outta college i forgot where A FLOOR IS!! (could be the first floor) :LOL:, so i'm really nervous...as some of you might now i'm a really shy person so that makes it worse.
Well i'm just gonna look like a fool and ask at reception where the hell it is. :LOL:

What was your first day of skool/college like?
 
well fun:) They made it look like school was fun lol all i can remember was hanging around the chocolate and coke machines amazed at that u could actually buy food lol :p

First day of highschool wasn't so bad, I was expecting way worse. I got lost a few times trying to find my classes but the teachers understood and everybody was helpful.

Im probably going to university the year after this one, that is something im really scared of.
 
I had my first day of college last Thursday. It wasn't so bad, but it was so hot during move-in and I had to carry all my shit up 3 flights of stairs. 88 key digital piano, computer, TV, air conditioner, boxes, boxes, boxes.....

Then we had gay icebreaker activities for our hall. It was really dumb, they had 4 days worth of orientation activities planned for us and they were all pretty lousy. But now that is all over and classes have started and I've got so much ****ing work...
 
LOL first day of high school I was freaked out. There was a rumour going around that all the freshman get beat up as part of some sort of initiation ceremony. Wasn't true of course. :LOL:

Du är svensk va? Vilket gymnasium går du på? gör College är vell mer Högskola\Universitet..Gymnasium = high school...fast du kanske e äldre? Är vell inge å va nervös för..bara å gå ditt för fan :)

English: u are swedish right? what high school? *bla bla bla* there is nothing to be nervous about, just go there :)
 
Im done with my first week in "Gymnasiet" (grade 10). I like my school compy (a laptop, Compaq Evo N1020v) and i like the class....its all great! :)

I was re-inducted into collage on thursday. That was fun seeing a load of people i havent seen in ages. Nothing much happened, i just talked to a few teachers about my results stuff like that. Then we went and sat in the pub for a while waiting for someone. We went out into Hyde and messed around a bit, had a few serious conversations about stuff thats been going on.


Thats basically it.
 
I also got back to high school/college/whatever (gymnasiet, I'm swede too)

This is second year, so it wasn't very special. Headmaster making a fine boring speech. Police talking a wee bit about fires.

Last year, though. OK, so there's like four hundred first-years running around, trying to follow their teachers. I see a red t-shirt, remember that my techer had a red t-shirt. I follow. The thing is that me and the other two or three guys I KNOW is in my class folows the WRONG red shirt. So after we finally understand that, we have another ten minutes trying to find someone who know where qwe are supposed to go... Eventually we found our way though, we asked some kind of care taker who probably didn't know very much more than where the science classes used to be...

So that's first day in (new) school...
 
omg let's see if I remember....1987, U of Florida. Slept on my roommate's waterbed but forgot to plug it in, so in the morning I woke up after having slept on cold water all night, I could barely breathe, thought I was dying of pneumonia or something.
Too nervous to eat or drink that morning, so I just took off on my bike to the school in the Florida summer heat. By the time I made it there I was feeling kinda dizzy; I went in to the first building I could find (happened to be the physics hall), found an office full of people & asked, "Where's the men's room?" Someone told me, I said "thanks" then passed out on to the floor. I woke up looking at lots of physics students looking back down at me. Very embarrassing. :p
 
lol well im going into sixth form in 5 days nothing special same school different form should be fun though i can piss of my new form tutor yay! :p
 
:eek: college tomorrow!! oh god....I still dont know where to go as stated in my first post. i'm still gonna go with asking at reception
 
you worry way to much
from what I understand, your starting high school (I cant bloody understand half of your guys' educational systems where you live, ie. the guy who is 17 and in 2 year college). thats nothing to worry about. I went the the largest high school in the british commonwealth and after a week or so it was no big deal.
 
Back to college also last week. On a 4 day weekend now. I haven't seen a single person I knew last year, accept for my sister who goes there also. It sucks. I am having fun though. I have to find an apartment within a month. Bah!

heh i remember my first day... walked in to the wrong class..sat there for like 20 min, and realized it was the wrong class...sooo embarassing :(
 
I always get way too nervous with things like these. I remember the day before the first day last year was horrible, but it's never as bad as you'd think.

sheesh all this for the first day of school? id be scared to see how nervous you guys get for graduation/prom/furst day of work etc.

I wasnt really nervous..just uhm..couldnt remember who was in my class :)
and only thing i could remember was that i had music class, and when the teacher started blabbering about al kinds of chemical stuff, i was like..uhm... excuse me mrs... i think i went to the wrong class.... could you please tell me where nr 24 is...and well..everyone laughed and it was all good, but kinda embarassing
 
I guess the fact that I didn't know anyone in the whole school didn't help me too much.

Erm there is no graduation/prom in the Uk :p

yay!! my first day of college went fine....*sigh* worrying over nothing :D
 
i start next week. it'll be yet another year of high school, so nothing new.

Little bit of offtopic here. I remember thinking about prom, like it will be a night of all nights. I even remember that day, my girlfriend running around a house, while I am waiting for her to dress up. Felt like forever. Anyway, prom itself sucked. Wasn’t anything special, all I remember about that night, that I was nervous as hell about going there. Anyone else though prom was boring event and nothing special at all, or is it just me?
 
I made it a habit of skipping any school event that ends in "om". So I can't really say whether it was a good or bad experience. I guess it sucked cause I stayed home and did nothing .. :(

I spent 45 mins at prom then headed out to the prom party with my 18 beer w00t!
 
I had my first day back at collage today. Man it was great, this year is going to be the best year of education yet.

So many first years to make fun of/friends with/other stuff with (no i don't mean sexual stuff)

Then, theres my timetable, i get like half the week off.

I don't go in on Wednesday, i get the first 3 out of 4 slots free on a Monday, on Tuesday i get the first 2 slots free on Thursday i get the first slot free and on Friday i get the last slot free.

So i have a lie in everyday apart from Friday where i get to go home early.

The longest lie in is Monday (When i need it and they get shorter towards Friday. Its so cool. Wednesday i will be working at the café so no lie in then.

I also have the Coolest tutor group, all my closest friends are in it, and i mean all of them. I know everyone in the group and they are the coolest guys in collage (No i don't mean "popular" even though they are. I just mean they are good people, friendly and stuff)

Anyway I'm still buzzing a bit from the day i had.
