Goin biking again...

So last summer I bicycled across the US a few times. Well it's a year later and I find myself gainfully unemployed... until now.

It seems as though there is a company silly enough to pay me real money to bike across the US again. Some vodka company will give me $3000 plus expenses to ride from New York to Los Angeles and promote their vodka. Oh, and I'm going to be lugging the dog I found in Mexico along with me. He's like 50 lbs now. I don't think he likes vodka very much.

I have succeeded in pushing back real employment for at least another 3 or 4 months or even more if I can double my $3000 in Vegas.

Oh, and I am now contractually obligated to end all correspondence with this picture:

I never commented much in your threads about your last bike trip but I read all of it with great interest and envy. Definitely keep us posted. Also how are you taking the dog along with you... some kind of little trailer on your bike or something? Or are you making that poor bastard walk all the way across the country?

That reminds me. I never really got around to finishing that. The feedback I got from most people was that it was too long to read. The epilogue is that I biked to Montreal and then drove to Mexico and came back with a dog and no job.

Score, man. To get a job like that in this economy is aces (and you apparently enjoy riding bikes a lot). Very few are the advertising practices that I might respond to, but if I drank alcohol, I'd purchase that just because they hooked you up.

Good luck Dan, I hope you can get the dog to not freak out in the trailer. I know mine does freak out, eventhough she's a very calm dog normally who actually likes riding around in cars.
