Gold Avatars

I have an idea. How about when Half-Life 2 goes gold (officially, as in the press release and release date), everyone at Half-Life 2 changes their avatar to a gold variation of their existing one. It would be the same basic avatar, but with an added twist, an animation tributed to it going gold, or a change in colors.

What do you think?

EDIT: I don't mean forever, of course. Just for a day or two.

Whoa, that is a really nice avatar. Just load it up in photoshop and change the hue/saturation on each frame.
