Could it be? An updated GE with a solid framerate. Do we, as a species, deserve something this great?

I saw the youtube vid earlier, but didn't think it looked any better than the original. The screensot above does, though. A decent update with online 2 vs. 2 would be godly.

:(

I don't think it's going to see the light of day unfortunately.

...they best not be scans :p

Think this is just the mag covering whether it will be coming out or not....dunno really!

Loved this game so much. Would love to see it re-released. Sort it out Microsoft and Nintendo!

That video looks like high-poly models running on the same engine.

Not even. It just looks like higher resolution textures. Everything else looks exactly the same, even down to the death animations.

Thats how remakes should be done :) I'd totally play that.

Those death animations looks quite awesome. :O

omG i hope this gets released. . .. if it's not i'm boycotting nintendo. . .

okay. . . i can't really do that cause they have brawl. . .. DANGIT

MS probably don't want them to.

Besides, that new engine looks like it's been designed pretty specifically for 360. But I guess they could just do a straight port to Wii.

Watching that Silo video... god damn I want to play this again so, so much.

What was the reasoning behind it's non-release, anyway? Not enough money or interest, or something like that? It's Goldeneye - how can it NOT spark enough interest? One of the most groundbreaking games in existance.

A polished remake of Goldeneye would sell. Though the Goldeneye:Source mod was decent, it will never touch the popularity of its ancestor.

Oh how I loved the Man with the Golden Gun multiplayer mode, especially in the Archives level.

Licensing issues.

Rare is attached to MS, but the rights to Goldeneye are still owned by Nintendo, AND the rights to James Bond are owned by some film company. Or something like that.

It's only because it's going to do so well that it's a problem, probably. :P

Microsoft would have the edge in sales if a port was released both on the arcade and the virtual console, multiplayer over Xbox Live is what so many are craving.

Wasn't this already confirmed not to be happening?
