That is quite possibly one of the greatest games I have ever played as far as totally ripping every last ounce of fun out of it and having a blast with my friends and family.

Man... we'd play for hours and hours.

Poos.

Perfect Dark still makes alot more sense though, doesn't it? It's an original property (as far as I know), still owned by Rare/MS (afaik), and there's already been a PD game on the 360 so it has some name recognition (although maybe not the good sort). No pissy licensing issues + an arguably superior game = wintime, yes yes? Please? :(

Yeah but knowing how money hungry ninty are they'll want a cut of it and it will lead to a smiliar situation as GE ;(

Just release it for both consoles ffs and stop the quibbling.
Jesus they're meant to be companies, not children.

I still have a N64 so w/e.
So do I, but GE multiplayer over Live would be most welcome, and this is someone who isn't heavily into multiplayer.

This doesn't at all surprise me, because in the case of a game as popular as GE or even PD, it's still going to make money and companies such as Microsoft, Nintendo, MGM (or whoever has the Bond movie rights), EA, Activision (or whoever has the video game rights) would be sick to the stomach if they lost out on any revenue whatsoever.

It's a shame, because it could allow people who have never experienced either game to have a go without having to buy an older console.

GE and PD need updates. It'll never happen, but both games dragged into this gen - cosmetic changes only - would be awesome.

So what? Nintendo owns the N64. Nintendo published GE007.

EDIT: And Rare made Donkey Kong Country, that didn't stop Nintendo from releasing it on VC.

Yeah but nintendo owns donkey kong, so it's an exception.

James Bond video game rights belong to a multitude of people. GE rights are owned by rare and by proxy by MS so yes MS does own james bond.

This sucks, I'm sure it would have sold very well and made them some money.

I dunno what they're smoking in all those comments over there saying it hasn't stood the test of time...

I plugged my n64 back in recently and got hooked on goldeneye multiplayer all over again for a few weeks

That said, I'm kinda glad that you 360 owners aren't getting your n00by hands all over it

You own a PS3/PC/Wii don't you? When will people ever be able to accept all forms of video game entertainment?

I just picked up my Wii on Friday, so.. 360 or Wii, whichever it comes to(hopefully one of them!) and like somebody else said earlier, Goldeneye and multiplayer will be fantabulous.

Bugger, was hoping it would work out. I'm in a rut as far as arcade games go, can't decide what to buy....

I don't blame him. They have a competing console on the market. Why let one of their previous games play on a competitors console? I was surprised when Sega had it's old games for download on the Wii but Sega doesn't have a completing console now.
