They'd butcher somehow.
If it was released on the PC around the same time as its N64 counterpart...It would've been acceptable.
But to just out of the blue remake it with beefed graphics / physics / etc...
Something would go wrong somehow.

You can download the Rom and emulate it. My mate did that. Good playing with a gamepad.

It should never be remade, although there was a hl mod of the goldeneye mp levels with guns etc. that was quite cool.

I tried that, the controls where messed up for me and I don't have a gamepad.

BTW it's illegal so i don't know if you're allowed to say that

Yea it was on the frontpage a while ago. Bit disappointed with the weapon models.

In my opinion Goldeneye was like a dev team catching lightening in a bottle. It was one of those rare games where everything just fit and worked. It transcends explanation. They tried to make a lot of Bond games after that and none of them worked in my eyes. It wasn't even the Bond part of Goldeneye that worked. Was it the timing of it's release, the N64 controller (pure genious IMO), the content, the art, what was it that that made it the game it became?

So to answer the question, I hope someone tries, but to be honest I think it would be impossible to pull off. More power to them, I'll give it a try if it ever makes it that far.

If the multi-player version goes well, which is what we are doing right now, we will also do the single-player. If we do single player, we havent desided if we are going to keep the missions exactly the same, or change them a bit.
