I went fishing today.
Turned out that a co-worker of mine was an avid angler with 2 boats. One was a small 2 man aluminum skiff, while the other was an old 40 foot decommissioned Navy Officers launch that was used during the 60's. Pretty damn cool. Once he found out that I greatly enjoyed holding a pole in my hand myself, he invited me to go out for a day of fishing. 6 hours later, I had caught 14 Strippers. All under 18 inches. Still fun to catch though. The only downside is I now have fishy-smellin-fingers. Damn Sardines!
Went on the Middle river outside Stockton. Catfish, Crappie, Strippers, Black Bass & others. Sorry no pictures to use as proof. We did get a good laugh when I caught a Stripper that was about 2 inches bigger than the bait I was using. Sadly his cell phone camera didn't seem to want to work.
My next sortie will be with my daughter. She loves to fish.
