Its funny, those guys think they actually stole something good, but when they go over all the loot at their underground hideout they will realize its all Apple products, they will rage quite hard.
 
Damn, I mean its theft and all but that was pretty ****ing pro. Those guys cleaned that place up.
 
I agree - still dicks, but that was pretty smooth. Wouldn't the iPhones all have product IDs that would prevent them from being used if they were stolen, though?

Well it most likely wont stop them from selling the phones anyway, but there definitely gonna be selling all the Macbook Pros right away for a good amount of money. I doubt they'll get caught unless they're really stupid about how they go about selling everything, which probably wont be the case seeing as these guys look like they've done this a bunch of times before.

I don't believe anyone will report them on that anonymous tip line if there isn't a reward involved - in fact it surprised me that Apple didn't offer a reward right away, before the computers get absorbed into hood. Probably means that they aren't really worth a lot of money to Apple. $150 in parts? Ok, we'll sell it for $3000

I think The magnetic power cords on apple products really helped with the swipe. No tangly wire mess. Also why weren't the display pieces locked down ?, i thought that was standard.
 
That announcer may have read the story a little too intensely. His director must have taken "ACTION NEWS" a little too seriously.

That was pro. The one guy wasn't closing them, though. He probably dinged them up a bit. MacBook Pros are fragile and bend, dent, and scratch easily. I don't condone thievery, but that was well planned.

Bullshit I dropped my macbook bro once that thing practically bounced right back up into my hands.

Ok im lying, but it was completely fine when I picked it up. No scratches or dents or anything.
 
They're made of aluminum, but they're fragile as hell. Just holding the laptops incorrectly can bend the cutouts where the ports are.

This guy was trying to replace his hard drive. When he was taking the top case off, he bent the CD/DVD drive. It requires some force to get it off and even professionals bend them.

Lucky you.

We have three and it's been my experience that they bend easily. Mine was bent while being serviced by Apple. The top case had to be removed to replace the screen and they bent it and separated the plastic rim from the aluminum body.
 
I'm not saying they're indestructible but the owner of that macbook says, "I picked it up on the left side with my thumb over the ethernet port and bent the chassis slightly. Its really not that bad, so I'm not going to worry about fixing it." And then the article says, "this seems to be an isolated case."

Why would he pick it up with his thumb over the ethernet port? I wouldn't pick any laptop up like that.
 
That guy was like, "Wow, these guys are really pros! Look how pro he was to know to wear masks--they must have known there would be security cameras." Duh, NO SHIT, it's a god damn computer store. They have like cameras built into the ****ing things even. They have security cameras in grocery stores, dressing rooms, and the dollar store, god damn MR. Action, wake the **** up.

That talk made me want to rob the place myself if it could completely catch them off guard to wear a mask when you rob a ****ing store of 30 ****ing computers and 15 phones or whatever

and what about laptop chargers, manuals,...only way they are gonna sell it is if the buyer knows it's stolen goods.

Theres a traveling cologne salesman around here who sells bottles of the stuff out of his trunk to anybody he finds. Theres a market for any kind of stolen shit.
