Does anyone have a good recommendation toward an anti-virus program other than Norton? I've had horrible problems with Norton in the past and I'm looking for a new program because my subscrition to this damn piece of software just expired. Any ideas? Macafree?

Good common sense it all it takes... :/

Thats what I thought when I bought Norton.

Thanks for the links joule.

BitDefender:) I found stuff that even Norton Corp didn't find with the Pro Plus 8.

If you have enough common sense (not clicking dubious looking links, opening attachments from unknown senders of e-mails) and the rest of your computer is secure (in terms of regular scans with spyware and adware removal tools and a decent firewall - personally I use the XP SP2 firewall) then all you need is AVG. Free, simple, regularly updated and though it may not be the best AV in the world, it's more than adequate.

Yeah we use AVG at work... I'm using it at home now.

I prefer it over Norton anyday.

I like Mcafee Vscan 9, it doesn't take up alot of ram and updates regularily when I'm not using the pc. Has alot of other features like spam filter for my emails and a privacy function that stops people from looking at personal data on your pc.
