Good book/movie.

I absolutely and most positively fancy Zoey Deschanel. That still can't save the movie though. I think Adams had a hand in the writing. What bothers me about it is that it's very different from my mental imagery from the book, and the thing I like the most about Douglas Adams - his writing style - is absent and there's nothing resembling an adequate cinematic counterpart to it.

Also, the Wing Commander movie is awesome. I loved that when it came out (right around the time I was maybe 9 or 10). Is there a book, though? I only knew of the video game...

I actually really enjoyed the representation of Ford, the Vogons and the Infinite Improbability drive ship. Although Marvin was totally wrong as far as I;m concerned. I remember him being described as much larger taller than a human.

Next suggestion: Mortal Kombat.

Do one from Stephen King
Cujo, The Mist, The Stand (Even though that was a mini series) ect.

Wow guys thanks for the huge feedback.

2 things I forgot to mention,

-Harry Potter isn't allowed.

-I need to make it with a friend of mine so he'll have to take look at this first

Soon I Will Be Invincible.

It's a novel about Supervillains and Superheroes.

And It's Awesome.

/edit just read OP and I hate you all now.

I don't think there ever could be an adequate cinematic counterpart to Adam's rambling style, and yes he mostly wrote the screenplay (I know for a fact he definitely wrote most of the 'introduced' stuff that the fan army went ballistic at), so I tend to enjoy the Movie like I did every other adaption of HHG2G - as another adaption on its own merits. I wasn't expecting it to be the book, and it wasn't, but it was one hell of a ride.

Just twenty-two words:

The His Dark Materials series of books (The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass).

And the movie, The Golden Compass.

The Shining would be a good example, although I haven't read the book myself.

Good one.

Any others?

Err, all the other books King wrote? I don't think there's a single one that hasn't been made into a movie or mini-series.

Hellraiser by Clive Barker was a pretty good novel and the movie is one of the best horror movies ever imho.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest was good, especially if you are a fan of Half-Life 2

Though I will say it can drag itself a bit.
