Good Surround Sound Systems

I wish I could give a recommendation, currently I'm trying to get my own machine to hook up to a basic Panasonic home theater system and having no luck (with surround sound anyway, stereo is fine)!
As far as PC speaker surround sound goes, I'd say you get what you pay for. From what I can see on Newegg, it looks like your best bet is with Creative or Logitech. The biggest thing that separates PC speakers from one another is the wattage. The more the better, I guess.
My advice would be to just troll around sites like Newegg, find the setup you want (5.1 or 7.1), the price range you can afford, and look for items with good reviews.

Yeah look for the reviews. Even better would be to try them out if you can. Wattage or any other specification that's given with commercial speakersystems have nothing to do with the sound quality they produce (well perhaps only the frequency response but even that is only a raw indication at best).
