Just completed the game a few minutes ago, and the time warp thing where the G-man stops time and the end of the game, suggested to me, that the whole game is some kind of simulation, and there just testing to see of Freeman is up to the job.

Not sure what everyone else thinks but will be good to hear yor thoughts.

It's been disscussed before but I don't think that's it.
It's also been roumered that the Gman is not human, thus, he might have the ability to slow down time to an extent that it gives the illusion of it being frozen.

(Either that or he typed Phys_timescale 0.001)

And the runner-up in most disliked hypothesis about the g-man/gordon relatioship is... This one!!!
All hail the winner theory; G-man is Gordon omg wtf teh big ohne one one!!!1!11
Been discussed before, I personally hate it because it makes everything we did absolutely useless. (in the game world that is. In real life it was useless but y'know...

I could see that being a possibility.

I honestly think that the G-Man works for some kind of secret organization that has been hidden in the shadows from both the combine and the humans (as well as the aliens) that work as a sort of Illuminati or organization like that, that have always had the ability to control the portals (time and space etc). Most of my idea is still very ambiguous, but it's still an idea nonetheless. As it goes, as long as there's more gameplay, i'll sit through whatever convoluted plot they wanna shell out. :D (although, I DO love a good convoluted plot, this is why I am a bigger fan of MGS2's story than the actual gameplay.)

That would just suck.
In all honesty, that's like having a wicked cool dream where you get, like, a million dollars and then waking up. Except here you're now paying fifty to be told you have a million and then not.

Valve is going for a circular picture with this franchise, so don't be suprized to findyourself back in Black Masa trying to stop everything from starting :D

Been discused many a time...not thrown out but not ruled in.

I think... we all know that this is just a simulator. It's played on a computer, for crying out loud.

i think we can rest assured the g man isnt actually human. a lot is always made in official interviews about he he slurs his speech or has trouble with certain words, as if he were speaking an alien language...to him.

here we go again about a subject that no1 knows the answer to...

Definatley not a simulation, I doubt Marc Laidlaw would go to so much trouble to construct a world so brilliant for it to be just a simulation :p

I think you could be wrong here, maybe this is just the beggining, and that the proper stuff starts happening in a later series of the game, maybe half life 4

Again; Worst. Plot twist. Ever!

A plot twist like that would give the same feeling as an ending like this, "and you woke up and realized it was just a dream."
